III. Basic Q&A

Q. What do you mean skills and magic?

A. By skills and magic I mean abilities that can be used by consumption of SP (Skill Points).  But don’t think they are the same, skills are all physical, as in abilities you use your weapon for.  Now magic is well, magical and can be used from a range unlike skills where you must be close to the enemy for them to take effect.

Q. How do I obtain skills and magic?

A. You can get equipment four possible ways.  There is Data Draining the enemy, which is when you use a skill that you will always have and that is essential to winning some battles that lowers the enemies level.  You can only Data Drain enemies when you get them down to their protect points (the amount of HP they have when protect break happens). Another way is by trading with other players (they’re really CPU’s since this isn’t an online game but you know what I mean).  You can also buy equipment from shops, though it is pricey, time consuming and they don’t ever really carry stuff that you don’t get from just fighting.  Finally, you can get equipment from enemies you defeat when and if they drop a treasure chest or you can get equipment in a dungeon from barrels/boxes/chests and so on.  You can get skills and magic from equipment you obtain.  Each piece of equipment has an ability or effect on it that are very powerful yet consume SP.
