Well, even after finishing part 3, I´m still clueless about some things. Could be my lag of japanese knowledge though...
Anyway, maybe the others who finished Vol 3 can help me o.o

1. What was up with the AIDAs anyway? Ovan is the one who got infected first, are the AIDAs gone with him together? Or has it something to do with Cubia?

2. Why were Haseo and co. revived phases in the first place, they could have been anything else, the only thing the other phases had done were that they fighted against Skeith and lent him their strenght, but they never fighted again in the first place; so why anyway??

3. What was the true purpose of the Azure Knights in the game? And why were they able to regenerate every time??

4. What was the reason for Cubia´s return?

Based on what I heard from people in this forum is that Cubia and Aura were sealed within Ovan and when he used his rebirth ability and disappeared he released Cubia and Aura which in turn made Cubia anti exist the key of twlight.

The AIDA are gone because Ovan rebooted the entire internet and erased them.

2. Why were Haseo and co. revived phases in the first place, they could have been anything else, the only thing the other phases had done were that they fighted against Skeith and lent him their strenght, but they never fighted again in the first place; so why anyway??

Because only two Avatars can be activated at a time without them all going crazy and smashing **** up, and by giving all their power to one Avatar, it's like having all of them in use against Cubia.

3. What was the true purpose of the Azure Knights in the game? And why were they able to regenerate every time??

They protect Za Warudo. It's their job. They can regenerate because it's in their programming.

4. What was the reason for Cubia´s return?

The Anti-Existence of Ovan's System Restore.

So..if Ovan DID have the means to purge AIDA why did he coax Haseo to become stronger? Or was he actually preparing him to face Cubia?

And it still doesn't explain the origins of AIDA.

He can only restore the Internet when Corbenic is destroyed. And even if that wasn't the case, he still needed to die to ressurect the Unreturners.

So basically Haseo had the means to destroy and anti-existance without having to destroy the existence? Because the only other way to stop Cubia would be to purge the internet.

So Ovan was preparing Haseo to get stronger, by creating this whole AIDA mess. Then he would "reset" The World, and fix all the problems he caused but create Cubia. Then he would have Haseo clean up the mess by killing Cubia. Is that about right?

I understand now. If Cubia were to remain on the internet he would eventualy cause a system crash destroying the internet. or something to that extent right? =]

I must say that after AT answered our questions, .Hack must be one of the most well planned storylines in the world, for me it have already surpasses even Harry Potter.

Well I'm kinda dissapointed that its another Deus Ex Machina ending. Still I'm amazed at Ovan's foresight, he actually planed all this....

I'm starting to understand alot too. Wow, the thought of everything (AIDA, Cubia, Avatars...) has changed alot since i first heard about them...ALOT

Not just changed, but was taken to another level of comprehesion, it´s almost as it is the encyclopedia of another dimension, that works on it´s own, extending everything that´s beyond our knowledge until everything has an answer, even better than if it was reality.

Sweet! .hack never disappoints in the story department. That's the main thing I love about .hack.

Cubia=Internet Anti-existance makes for one epic battle. The fact that Haseo was able to overcome such a thing is truely a riveting and inspiring thing to see, especially when you understand what was really happening.

Well of course it is, .hack was a project involving 3 of the greatest minds in anime.

1. Koichi Mashimo who was the director of Noir.

2. Kazunori Ito who did the screenplay for Ghost in the Shell.

3. Yoshiyuki Sadamoto who did the Character Design for Evangelion.

And of course the many people on the .hack project as well. Put all these people together and you can make anything lol.

That's a very good question.

Haseo's Epitaph is the Terror of Death, so he can just delete Cubia outright without taking out the Avatars or Internet. And yes, that second part is about right, though Ovan isn't really responsible for the AIDA.

She's "God" again, though she doesn't want people to call her that. The reason she left was because everyone was treating her as one, when she just wanted to be another person.
