I think it's a moot point as if Kite were able to log back into R:2 he would become Azure Kite since it's still his data. So I guess Kite would win by default since he would overwrite him. But assuming AK somehow goes back in time to fight his old self then he would easily win. But then he would cease to exist because he killed his past self....man time traveling is complicated.

Well, if we think well, Azure Kite is better because he not only is more powerful, but because he has a more scary look so that he can win a fight without taking out his weapons, the best quality of a true warrior.

Well no but it seems heavily implied. The damaged looking parts of them to represent the damage to the orginal World's data. The fact that they have the older character models(with visable weapon holsters and the inability to store their weapons in subspace like the R:1 guys can) and the fact that Kite's name changes depending on what IMOQ saves you have.

Granted they probably won't ever outright state this since they haven't outrighted stated anything about R-1 characters in G.U. just made it heavily implied.

I would say that Azure Kite would win, since Kite would whine about how he'd never data drain another person, while Azure Kite would be all like "Arrrrgh. OWNED, ****!" and data drain him.

Your topic title and topic sentence do not match. Whoever wins in this battle does not determine who is better; after all, Elk is better than both Kites (IMHO), but just about anyone in .hack could beat him in single combat.

Kite hmm well , I don't see how being the original has to do with anything. And for storyline purposes of course he won't die often, but if it weren't he would die pretty easily especially if he fought Azure Kite. But I'll give you points on the Harem thing x)

So Azure Kite being stitched up and being speech impaired makes him inferior in strength? And yes he get's killed often, but he doesn't stay dead. And level doesn't exactly apply to him, as he's pretty powerful regardless. And I wouldn't think he would give a dam about clearing up being framed.
