Let's talk about Kuhn (spoilers)

This topic is dedicated to one of my favorite charaters of G.U.

At first Kuhn seems like your typical shallow playboy. But I always thought it was a mask.

This is apparent to me since Volume 1. He was actually very seriously concerned when Haseo was exploiting his avatar. And in order just to prove his point he risks himself to teach a stubborn Haseo the hard way. And he took this apparent danger with a calm smile.

Furthermore he has proven to be a capable leader. He was affiliated with Kestrel, and served as its second-in-command until he left because of ideological differences. He then founded Canard, but left in fear of harming its members after he learned of his Avatar.

And us more info is revealed his girlfrend (Mai?) died one day . This all adds up to his personality. He even said in one of his mails how he "regrets not being nicer". The way I see it his whole playboy attitude apparently is used to hide his own feelings of losing his girlfreind.

There seems to be a definite link between Sieg and Kuhn. He shares the same quotes about bunny girls. Also some of his mails indicate that he may have indeed dated Mai. He is described as being significant in the begining phases of Preoject G.U and Sieg was one of the coma victims.

So Kuhn is a many faces. Discuss.

Lol, that'll always be my favorite scene, atleast between vol. 1 and 2. I think in 20 years I'll still remember how Kuhn almost sacraficed himself and how the super B.A. Haseo looked like he was about to cry  . The fight against Kuhn was basically where Haseo's character devlopment took a huge leap forward as he became more protective of his friends, and stopped completly obsessing over Shino.

Yeah I find it awesome how he gets to lecture Haseo while Skieth beats the crap out of him. Then he smiles and states how he wasn't prepared, then goes all badass as he does one last futile act of resistance before Skith finished him off.

I'll admit that when I saw that scene I didn't know what was gonna happen yet. I was jsut sitting there watching it going "wtf? THIS CANT HAPPEN!! He can't teach haseo something and become a Lost One at the same time!! NOO!!" Seriously, almost cried until he got back up in the next scene, then I couldn't stop laughing at how awesome Khun was for doing that.

But still... do you think Kuhn will finally have 1000 girls in Vol. 3?

I can already imagine Haseo´s surprise...

It is possible but the age differences dont fit plus I still dont see how Mai could have died

Sieg is 15 or 16 when he was in a coma Kuhn is 24. Both games are 7 years apart you do the math

Is Tomonari's age actually mentioned, or it's just a guess because of the people he knew? Because he could've been 16-soon 17 in Liminality, making the math perfect...
Eyebrow infection.
LMAO xD

Kuhn's the charismatic kind of person. He's always optimistic, and even if there's some serious stuff, he takes it the best way (such like against Haseo...if Kuhn was someone else he'd simply have kicked Skeith's ass and turned Haseo into a Lost One for being so badass). He's awesome, indeed.

First off, Kuhn is the best GU character EVER. He seems so generous, kind, even wise, and he's a genuinely caring person. I agree with you when you say you think his "playboy" attitude is a disguise.

Second, I personally have no doubt that Kuhn is Sieg. (It's my opinion; you can disagree if you want, but the quotes, hints, and age differences make a lot of sense and point in that direction.) That makes me like him even more, because Sieg was admittedly jerky, and to know he feels bad about his past actions makes me feel sorry for Kuhn. Especially if his girlfriend died.

Speaking of which... That makes me sad if it is Mai who he's talking about. I liked her. Poor Mai...poor Sieg...poor Kuhn...

But yeah, all that aside, I love his infectious optimism, combined with his thoughtfulness and how carefully he thinks things through. The laid-back and fun-loving nature makes him even more awesome.

Totally my kinda guy.

RIP Mai. Uh, if that's really you.

Hmm. I still don't think Mai's dead. Kadaaju isn't Me. He can be wrong. :P I dunno. Killing Phyllo is one thing, but killing off Mai is totally different, what with her being like...not even an adult yet, probably at the time of her alleged death. Plus in my opinion it totally ruins the entirety of Liminality if she dies later on.

meh, my crappy-12:30-at-night-random-idea theory on how she died...
bad things happen in world = mai hears A in Cmaj.
A in C maj. does has been proven to screw with some peoples minds.
Word faces lots ot "bad things" when Aura leaves and the fire occurs, Mai hears lots of mentaly disturbing A notes.
World dies = Mai dies....

it was late...i was tierd...please don't kill me.
im not saying that the world dying killed mai, but mabey the massive detirieration of it affected her im some way...
i think...
oh well nvm. im sure we shall find out soon...
