Lucky Animal Glitch

So I'm going through the game trying to get 100 percent, and then when I go to finish the lucky animal quest I see that it's stuck on 30/50, and I have collected one of every type. I remember reading earlier about this glitch in the game that stops counted after a certain number and I was wondering if I was doing something wrong, or did I just become victim to this glitch...

This happens also once I receive the full list of lucky animals..

I loaded my file again and repeated the process and noticed one thing to solve this. Simply don't complete the list, I had kicked every animals several times except 1 on my list and then it got stuck also, once I kicked the one I was missing it was complete and the lsit was complete.

Simply the problem is that you should not complete the list, kick other animals several times until you only need 1 more point and then complete the list..other then that I don't think there's a way of solving this.

heh, unfortunately I didnt notice this until 20 hours after I completed the quest. I just recently completed the Ryu Books and quest, so going back is not an option. But I guess I should finish the quest in Vol. 2 when it is released.

Or, is there a gameshark code I could make use of?

Don't use a gameshark. If you know you have 100%, then you have 100%. Wait until vol. 2

Finding every animal is a pain but i just recently kicked a Golden bird and it was purple how weird is that considering it's name.lol

It's Golden. Check the color settings on your TV.

All the lucky animals come in different colors.

Edit: Zer0 considering you've been to hundreds and hundreds of different areas, I thought you would of known this.

i haven't even seen a gold bird yet except durring that one scene with atoli but haven't even come close to finding one you guys have a suggestion for finding one?

The animal's colors change depending of the weather...If it's dark, then the animals will have a dark-ish color in them.

I remember the first time I saw a gold bird. Too bad I had already broken all breakable objects in the field.

I didn't notice about the differences in colors. I'll try to in the future. But I'm also a victim to the animals glitch, and it stinks. ^^ I didn't know about it until I read this thread.

If you guys haven't tried this in the first game, do it in the second. Use all of the files. Each time you save a game after a major event, use the next save slot in line. Use a different slot each time, and start again at the top when you get all the way to the bottom. I do it this way, so if I get further down the road and notice a problem, I can go back to an earlier save slot and I don't have to start over. It's saved me several times.
