GU versions of the Phase songs from the first quadrilogy.
Not sure if this has been done, but hay.
I've been making some observations, and while possibly not obvious at first glance, the Avatar Phase battle music are actually heavily (Talk about an understatement) remixed versions of the corresponding Phase theme from IMOQ.
Tarvos - Location of Power (Easily the best remix [In comparison to the original] of the four I found.)
Magus - Differences between People
Macha - "She"
And rather ironically, the remixed Skeith theme was actually "Everything in these Hands" - The same song that plays during the Azure Flame Kite Cathedral scenario and the final Avatar battle of the first game.
I assume the next games will follow the same trend in terms of Avatar battles.
Are there any other remixes that you folks noticed?

"Swaying Emotions", the second end song to Vol. 1 could be a variation on Aura's theme.MeultimaSama wrote:Are there any other remixes that you folks noticed?

Well, I did notice that a few themes are remixed versions of the original.

Tarvos - Location of Power (My favorite song in Rebirth)
Magus - Differences Between People
Macha - "She" (Both the original and remix were among my favorite songs in the IMOQ and GU games)
Skeith - Everything In These Hands (it's easy to notice if you pay attention to the pattern of the songs)
And something interesting about the Skeith themes...Does anyone else remember that Skeith's theme played when Kite first encountered Skeith when Orca was Data Drained and during Kite's fight with Skeith. The same can be said for Haseo's encounter with Azure Flame Kite when Haseo was Data Drained and Haseo's battle with Azure Flame Kite.
Skeith's isn't "I'm Right Here" that is Haseo's Avatar summoning song.
but I don't know about the other phases...I can't get my hands on .hack//G.U. OST 2 yet...

Re: GU versions of the Phase songs from the first quadrilogy
It contains a little of Aura's Theme on the piano, but it isn't quite a variation. The ending song for Vol. 3 also has a similar bit of the theme.Tylec wrote:"Swaying Emotions", the second end song to Vol. 1 could be a variation on Aura's theme.MeultimaSama wrote:Are there any other remixes that you folks noticed?

The piano credits for Quaranine were the same. They were actually there own melody with Auras theme added in the same way.Bulletcatcher wrote:It contains a little of Aura's Theme on the piano, but it isn't quite a variation. Skeiths theme is neither "Im right here" or "Everything in these hands". Skeiths theme is the battle theme from the prototype trailer which I think is called "Fu? Lotaif? From the reflection". Whats its meant to mean I dont know and wether its accurately translated I've also no idea.

I don't find the pattern. I think the one match Skeith's is I'm Right Here.Takeshi1689 wrote: Skeith - Everything In These Hands (it's easy to notice if you pay attention to the pattern of the songs)
You know? There always something that sounds like a church bell ringing wildly in every Phases' song and there isn't something like that in Everything In These Hands.
Hehe.
i don't see it in that one either, im telling you its the prototype trailer song!juunishi master wrote:I don't find the pattern. (I don't mean to be harsh or something by saying this, please don't take it seriously)
Of course you won't find it if you see at it.. you should hear it.
(now2... don't take it seriously, will you?)
It's not really clear, but the bell sound is in the very first part. It's a bit mixed by other, but I think there is a bell sound in there.
Well, yeah. I'm Right Here is played during the Tokyo Game Show trailer too.
So, which one is Skeith's?
Hehe.

Re: GU versions of the Phase songs from the first quadrilogy.
I play .hack//G.U. Vol. 1//Rebirth and when Haseo's Avatar awakened for the very first time (in the tournament VS Bordeoux), I listen to the BGM and it's absolutely I'm Right Here.
So, I think Skeith's G.U. Version is I'm Right Here.
Hehe.
