Wow! Someone else thought about this? My friend pointed out that they both looked the same, and in fact might share the same hero, but I just dismissed him. Apparently I was wrong, though.

Well, it's obvious they take place in the same world. But I wouldn't be surprised if they put them around the same place.

Although the Wanderer could be ICO... I think it's more likely he's just another horned boy. There are several of them after all.

That is actually a pretty good theory.

However, unless Team ICO makes some kind of official statement or in their next game they tell what happened, but with drastically different gameplay, we probably won't ever know. They could continue this whole... story line with new gameplay thing for a good while.

From how i've interpreted it, they aim to make the story very open.
They leave in subtle hints at links between Ico and SotC, but they never directly connect them and i'm fairly sure they've openly stated that they won't.
