I only started playing a few months ago, so I'm not all that great at it. I usually play light.

Go for this:
Heavy with both pads. you can't do double, lest you can do the splits. Really hard, don't try it on your first time...

Heck, I've been playing for about 3 years now. I play Heavy...obviously. I love DDR...i mean isn't it obvious? Oh, can anyone do the songs on Oni mode?

Oni's fun. It's hard when you don't play it for a while, but when you get used to it, it's... Well... Fun!

but i mostly play DDRmax2 at home i dont go to the 'cades to play very often

im always short on money, i hope i can get a job soon

argh.. i suk..but i love playing it! my friend,Michael, is heavy mode..he is SO damn good! i mean REALLY good. oh and yesterday...i went bowling and this one guy wuz in the arcade playing DDR! he was using both the the pads and ... on account of what one of my friends said....he didn't miss any..which i find impossible...O_O

I'm in Light mode right now. I'm working on Standard though. I've had DDR for awhile now. I want another game though. Me getting tired of the songs.

i know what you mean, ive had the game for a while too, and im starting to get bored with all the songs, too bad i cant find DDRmax 1 anywhere, but from what i hear theyre making DDRextreme for PS2, im not sure about the release date though...

Me I do heavy, ONI and Doubles. My fav song by far is Max 300 and Max Unlimited on 7th mix with the following modifiers:

Double
Stealth
Reverse
X1.5

Now that is fun. I can beat that with a AA most every time, although you have to be really careful because when stealth is on it hides all the arrows so you have to go by pure memory.

Actually its already out for PS2 ... Well to be honest its been out for about 6 months now, you just have to get the imported copy which is just like the arcade (Note: When it comes to DDR get Imports never buy the US versions because they suck) but the downside is you need to have a mod chip in your PS2 or boot disks.

Always remember when it comes to DDR just ask me anything about it as I have all the versions ever made for PS 1, and PS 2.

Thats cool. I wish I got to start out on light but I learned to play from heavy mode (also called Expert on 3rd mix Maniac on 4th) because my friends claimed it was the only mode in the game. Later I found out it was false.

Hey does anyone have the PC Version? Not the official one the step mania one because I have some dothack songs and samples I am working on (see my last post) that I could use some feedback on as I made some custom steps to lots of dothack songs.

come to think of it, i remembered hearing about a dot hack song being in a DDR game (arcade), but im really not sure about that, its something i will look into, but the song that was mentioned was the song in the episode "ecounter" i think it was, that involves Sora and Crim fighting, in my opinion its sounds like a song that can be used, but i still need verification on the subject

Sorry there currently are no dothack songs in DDR the arcade version (I have played every mechine version that currently is out both for PS1, PS2 and in the Arcades), however there are tons in the PC version. I know somewhere in LA some guys built a DDR mechine using the PC version (SM) which has like over 2000 songs on it which I did hear they had dothack songs but as far as officially there are none.

The closest you will get to anime is Lupin the 3rd which can be found on 4th mix plus mechines and I think 5th mix mechines as well as some of the playstation 1 versions, although who knows from what I hear is they are making yet another arcade version so maybe it will have some in it although I doubt it.

im pretty good. i usually do 1 or 2 warm-up rounds then i go for the fast music XD i play whenever i get a chance.
