After re-watching SIGN awhile ago, "Aura" just became my new favorite.^^

'kay, my list.

.hack//SIGN - Haven't watched it in a long time, but I always loved "Yasashii Yoake".
.hack//IMOQ - Desert field theme (especially the "evening" variant in QUARANTINE) and Innis fight theme.
.hack//Liminality - All of the opening themes except for "A Thousand and One Nights", but if I had to pick any of them as being my absolute favorite, it's probably "Edge". I also like "Tasogare no Umi".
.hack//Roots - "Silly-Go-Round" and "Dwindled Bible". "Boukoku Kakusei Catharsis" receives an honorable mention for being catchy, but I hate the translation.
.hack//G.U. - Probably an easier question would be what songs I don't like on this soundtrack... it's seriously one of the most brilliant soundtracks I've ever heard. I guess my favorites would be "Victory Must Be Grasped", "Everything In These Hands" and "The Truth of One's Whereabouts".
.hack//G.U. TRILOGY - "Black Animal", "Azure Flame God", "Value of Evolution", "The Final Battle", "Gentle Light", "Liar's Smile" and "Deepest Memories". Another soundtrack I loved.

I really love the opera style voice here. So very talented!

I like all legit versions of this song so far.

EDIT: Non vocal song would have to be Before Dawn.

well for me right now i am listening to Before dawn - .hack//sign ost 1..... sweet piano tunes
next favorite would be Grandpa's Violin - .hack//Liminality... to this date i think this is the best song ever. it is even my ring tone/alarm and has been so for about 4 years now. this song is what makes me happy.

for my bass needs i crank. str01 (Kubia's Birth) - .hack//perfect game collection. just such a great VGM. this entire album is full of so many gems.

i think the song that sets the .hack//GU saga off beautifully and i think is the footnote for the most under received game. (not available in pal seriously who has pal anyway we all have wide screen tv's) Welcome to the World - .hack//GU ost 1

my favorite from the .hack//GU Trilogy would be the tune はじまりの場所 (Beginning location) i just love the end of that track! just screams Epic!

and for the lovely .hack//Link saga. all i can say Shukumei (Destiny) - just epic. vocal - and just dances on your brain if you have headphones on. just so great.

My favourite themes are actually a handful of the little guitar jingles that play before you fight each of the eight phases.
In order, they go something like this;

1. Magus/ Fidchell
2. Tarvos
3. Gorre
4. Innis
5. Skeith

All the others are sub-par, in my honest opinion.

The theme that I really loved it is the battle with Magus the propagation at first .hack. Well, Skeith and Tarvos are nice too! ^^
At .hack//G.U. I like that theme when you face Tarvos ^^
