I know that the Anime is a non-canon and that the manga is Canon..but why?
An user of my italian forum asked me,and I don't know what to answer to him!
Anyway,thank you so much ^^

Canon: Means it goes along with the storyline.

Non-Canon: Means that it has nothing to do with the storyline, though it may use the same characters.

I know what canon and non-canons mean,but I asked WHY the anime is Non-Canon? I'm searching the causes

The anime contradicts other installments in the franchises, like .hack//Zero, the .hack games, .hack//SIGN, and most recently, .hack//GU.

Can I ask you where it contrasdicts the other installments? I have seen it 2 years ago,so I don't remember it very well ^^"

It contradicts Zero because Shugo makes an appearance and meets Aura briefly. This scene comes up as a flashback in the manga, but in the anime, Shugo has never played the World ever and doesn't even know what it is.

It contradicts the games by undermining Aura's power and removing her Godlike status. By the time of Udeden, it should be impossible for so many Data Bugs, comas, and whatnot to pop up in her rule, along with making Sanjuro a canon .hacker when he was a bonus optional only.

It contradicts .hack//Sign by implying Tsukasa and Subaru are .hackers.

It contradicts .hack//GU because Zefie makes an appearance in the Terminal Disc, and Zefie doesn't exist in the anime, only in the manga.

I'd like to know that too. There were only like...6 episodes, weren't there? and I've seen most of them about 10 times, and I don't ever remember having Tsukasa's name mentioned. When Silver Knight was banned, he yelled out Subaru's name, but that was it. No mention of .hackers there.

There were twelve.

And frankly, I'm judging by the OP, where Tsukasa and Subaru's sillohoutes are standing next to Kite's and Mistral's and etc. There's also the scene where Balmung and Sanjuro tell Shugo and Rena about how the .hackers solved the "Last Mystery" of the World and revealed they were members of the .hackers, and Tsukasa, Subaru, and Bear's sillohoutes are virtualizing into the field with the sillohoutes of the other .hackers.

And to think that I bought the entire series . I quickly realised that I need to trust manga more than anime.

Also a non-canon part of the anime. Ginkan gets deleted by the Cobalt Knights. But in the manga, I think, he does not get deleted. If he did get deleted, it will also contradict with  his cameo in Roots.

Maybe I found another contradiction...after auratwilight told me about the contradiction in zero and the others I'm more careful 'bout : P
In AI Buster 2 Rena tell she has found her hero,and that he is sit near her(And shugo is playing the world),but in the anime when shugo begin to play the world rena doesn't live with shugo anymore

I still don't understand how his return is even possible, after the fire, after the recreation from scratch of the world, and even after the fact the Blademaster class is not apart of the default R2 classes.

its still styrange to me the anime is Non-canon but the manga is Canon

i would like the manga bette rthen the anime *even though its more funny* because ginkna doesnt get deleted in the manga now does he......

and The Ginkan in roots is A TOTATLLY DIFFERNT guy i mesan yeah its ol ginkan but a differnt class *blade branidier* AND well i think thats it othe rthen a differnt appearance for him lol.

Let's mix a few facts together <_<. Ginkan has a lot of pride, he wanted to bring justice to The World, yet works in a video rental store. Wouldn't really be a surprise if he created a new character in R:2. Yes his cameo is a cannon. : D

it still sucks that in roots Ginkan only appears for like.............1 minute......in like one episode........i may be wrong though since ive only read about ep.26,and i saw episode 4 here in america yesterday

Another contradiction is inside both AI BUSTERS. In the first AI buster the member of CC corp that talks with Alberio is male, but in AI buster 2 its changed to female and that person is Kumai. Just thought I'd share that.

Actually that was just a mistranslation. It stated that Kamui was a boy, but Kamui is a woman, wait did the suggestion that Balmung dated Kamui also exist in the manga? It would be funny if people saw Udeden AFTER AI buster.
