Dont!! go around opening all of the field portals without fighting the monsters they will not just go away they will group together and find you they can like sense you are something.

Do!! take advantage of the monsiers when you first start mutation and above you should go to any level with the keyworld aqua field they should be there as soon as you get in use grunty flute and find the monsiers and keep upgrading your weapon of course you are going to have to go to a stronger level after a while but it works

actually, once you get a grunty its pretty easy, just run up to a portal and get off your grunty, then instantly get back on, i got alot of area cleared of portals that way

Same here, but I hate doing that without fighting them, but it gets so boring with that fight system just sitting there pressing X, so after I open them I just skip straight to whatever I'm about to do next.

Don't!!!! Sell or trade your goblin armor even though it has crappy results.

Do!!!!! Collect all of it and wear it in times of great desperation.

yeah but if you have to get something from that area then its not a good Idea and using that method to get all portals cleared is sort of cheap Dont!!! get to cocky when you leveling up at a level that is way stronger than you
Do!!!! use your speed charms they help alot and make going through dungeon easy you can neverhave enough and you can trade them with you party friends for like stuff that you dont use like the death and the fool I always have alot of those that I dont use and they just satck up unless I sell them so use the extra ones to stack up on speed charms

i second that.

Don't: Go to a high level field without a party if you are at a low level.
Do: Be prepared and buy a lot of healing potion or Noblewine or Healing Exilir.

Don't: Try to clear all of the portals in very long, hard dungeons (dungeons with Phases, the  final Cubia battle, etc.).
Do: Bring along fairy orbs ( a lot, one for each floor) to avoid rooms with dead ends and a lot of portals.

how about just dont act stupid and think your big and tough and i dont need to save. I only died like three or four times throughout the games, but I cant think of things not to do other than save and keep armor...oh hey dont give away any rare items, cause your teamates sell them I was pissed when Blackrose got rid of mimirus sword.

Don't run up to Skeith to say hi.
Don't flirt with Aura.
Don't let Magus detonate those C4 Leaves.
Bring revives if you plan to bully Skeith.
If the monster is Physical Resistant, don't be an idiot and order an all out war without using magic.

Don't toss rare items into the spring of mist. XD

I traded mine to get better equipment, ended up restarting Infection.
