Do you think that Zelda Ocarina of Time should or could be made into a movie? That would be pretty cool no?

I think it could easily make a film, or probably a set of films.

But I can see a lot of controversy behind it, as they'd have to alter the story to make it fit a film and the very act of Link talking would put much of its hardcore fanbase off.

I'd definitely watch such a film, but I doubt it'll ever happen.

something unlikely to happen, but if there was, I'd watch it. And it better be a good movie! There have been many movies based off video games, and not all of them have been that great in my eyes.

lol it would be unusual. It would be difficult to pull off, but if they did it right then it would be pretty cool.

It would be cool if they made a movie but who would they find to play the actors?

Windwaker was a ripoff of the Zelda games. I had fun with it but it just didn't have the Zelda spirit.

The last time Link really talked, it wasn't pretty.

Let's keep Zelda what it is. Not a movie. The Hollywood nowadays would butcher the storyline to cater to the action/romance/fx wants of the people and I can just see Link going around with a teched out Master Sword with matrix style slow-motion moves, with a Ganon/dorf that looks nothing like he should, along with crappy supporting characters, bad jokes, and a LOT of the story cut out.

Remember the Mario movie? Unless there was a show made alongside the game from the start, it will fail as a movie.

I can't choose one of the options...

No one has a voice...that aspect would ruin the franchise.

AND

throughout history, it is (or should be) well known that all movies based on video games SUCK...
The best one is Super Mario Bros.. and when was that made? 12 years ago? x.x

The super mario bros movie was a disaster imo.

But the HALO movie is hyped to make it seem like it'll be good.

if Uwe Boll does it, no. never. if someone who can actually do a good movie makes it, then i won't mind, but zelda isn't so big with me...its cool and i like the story, but its just....meh....it won't make a good movie. a mediocre, or even a somewhat enjoyable one, but not good.

What are you talking about?! If done right it would be an AWESOME movie because it is an AWESOME GAME!!

How about you consider this? Is it just as interesting to watch someone else play the game as it is for you to play it? If not, then it most likely isn't going to be a good movie. Sure, it's interesting to watch if it's new to you and you don't know it, but after having played it and then watching someone else, it's rather annoying. Different people play different ways, and I know some people annoy me with how they play a game, so I certainly would not like to see a movie of a game.

If done good?

The problem with that is that there will be some tiny little detail which will be (insert term here) which will ruin the movie for any hardcore fans and within the days folowing it's release it'll be deemed horrible for the small detail which had something happen to it.

'If done good' would be impossible normally, but you never know.

And not to mention, that there are quite a few people out there who consider Dead Or Alive an awsome game, or even resident evil an awsome game and what happened to those movie's?

Awsome game does not mean a good movie!

How could they make
that into a movie? Seems like
they don't need too since it
won't do much.

i suppose Legend of Zelda could be made into a movie if it fit the requirements to keep it from bein' put into a game-movie grave.
First off, it would need graphics similar to that of the new game. Second, it would need to be action packed, gripping story, bit of comedy thrown in, and NOT 7 hours long  . sorta like a shorter version of the game. Just pray for a good voice actor or else we're all going to suffer.

NO.

Forced comedy = cheesy jokes that only below middle schoolers would find funny.

I'm not talking forced comedy, im talking about the comedy you see in the game... like when Link got shot out of a cannon and splated agianst the fortress wall on windwaker, or Link being attacked by a swarm of chickens in Ocarina of Time.

If they do decide to make it, I want to see it made in the same way that Advent Children was, with 3D graphics instead of real actors. The biggest mistake movie-makers make is when they try to use real actors to play video game characters. There are certain things which look good in a game, but don't in reality. Example: Cloud's hair. Aside from that, it's always better to use the same kind of animation and voice actors that the fans are already familiar with considering the movie would appeal most to them. I haven't played any Zelda game since Ocarina of Time, so I don't know if they've put in voices yet... I was speaking of game-to-movie conversions in general anyways.
