Well, since this is supose to be
a show off-y thing for nerds...I guess
I am not? Because I don't know what
any of these things mean.

it's just to show off the power of your comp., if you put a lot of money into something you'd want to show it off! I assumed there would be SOME people on this board that know what i mean and have custom built computers, and of course i knew there would be people who just buy the store-packages (which, again im assuming, is you?)

Not really. My friend helps me
out with the computer stuff that
helps me with my art. So, I know
what I have, I just don't understand what you
just posted.

nVidia = leading graphics card
Intel = Leading CPU with the new Core 2 Duo.
Conclusion: nVdia and Intel at the moment is your best combination.

pah, intel...i always found it to be the slower CPU. S1lentOp, you didn't mention what YOU have, why don't you? (nobody else is....show them the way)

that´s quite easy.
for video cards: NVIDIA without a doubt
for processors: AMD is better, but now that Intel relased their core duo processors, let´s see how AMD will counter this.

Well, I
did have an Intel P4 3.2GHz processor and a eVGA nVidia Gefore 6800GT (256MB). However, that computer got fried by a power surge so it's very possible I'll be replacing them with an Intel Core 2 Duo 2.13GHz and a nVidia Gefore 7900GT. Like I said, Intel and nVidia are on top right now.
