Does this happen to anyone else?

I just bought Infection(I rented it and beat it waaay back, I'm collecting the 4 games now), and the game is in REALLY good condition, considering that I got it off Amazon, (there's a shocker) and it freezes up, but here's the twist... when I do Data Drain, when the demo is on. I turned the demo off, it works fine, I turn the demo on, it freezes. Is it just me, or is that weird? o0

THe disc isn't scratched.. I checked and cheecked and checked... put it through a disc cleaner, twice, then checked for more stuff.. and it still does.. that (Again o0)

hmmm...maybe a problem in the burning of the disc?....

It could be heat, water, or sun damaged... How are we really supposed to know? Does it really bother you to not watch the demo? Try running a lens cleaner through your console. Other than that it's just a bad burning...

Turn you o.O into ^_^

Those doesn't happen often with commercial burns or whatever you should call them. They rarely screw up. It's most likely some scratch you can't see.

well, with commercial burns, they do them about 15 at a time in this tower burner...so if oone was bad, there's a whole batch that were bad....so its not likely, but possible...

The disc may have been resurfaced and a deep scratch may be hidden, or there may be a hole in the data (look at it with a lightsource behind it, if there's a small hole, there's nothing you can do about it)...

tri bering it to game stop they may be abil to help you but if it is whot blackphoenix Id ether tern off the demo or get a new game youl stil have the saved data

IDK, disc cleaner didn't help, it could be a hole in the data, I'm pretty sure it's not burned in anyway. Damn I'm just pissed that they jipped me of a Liminality disc.

Usually when this happens I buy another one... nothing to do, really. If you say you just bought it, maybe you could get another one. But as for fixing the scratch, it could be hidden like some people said, or too deep inside for the disc cleaner. That being heat or sun damage. Another possibility is it was brought too close to a magnet.

I think i agree with someone who might said somthing like this,

Like maybe its your PS2, has there been anything in the past thats damaged it or what about the memory on your memory card?(Sometimes when i have low memory on my card, the game lags at time to time with high graphics like Gate hacking).

What would a memory card have to do with RAM? And why would the PS2 be selectively having problems with one game (not even "blue disc")...In my experience with CD's, it's likely damaged data or a deep (hidden) scratch.

I think that his PS2 is either screwed up, or the disc(As you said) is scratched really lightly...

It could just be that your PS2 can't run that much graphic detail. You should probably buy a new PS2. The one you have now seems like trash. :)

Does the gate hacking cinematic lag a bit for anyone else? I'm talking about the bit where Kite is zooming up the data tunnel thing. I don't mind it much, and it doesn't really affect gameplay, I'm just curious.

Mine takes a few seconds to load for gate hacking only, everything else seems fine...
