Pha: Maximum everything, including summons.
Or: 3
Gi, Be, Me can be either two or three, it's so damn confusing.
Gan: Earth
Rue: Water
Vak: Fire
Juk: Wood
Rai: Thunder
Ani: Darkness
Alternative elemental words used for certain spells: Ganz, Ruem, Vakz, Juka, Raio, Anid.
Ch: Lv2 Summon
Rf: Lv3 Summon
Ap: Increase
Dec: Decrease
Anything ending in -orv: Physical
Anything ending in -orma: Magical
Any of the above two starting with C: Attack
Any of the above two starting with V: Defense
Any of the above two starting with T: Accuraccy
Do: Speed
Lei: Status ailment
Duk: Poison
Maj: Curse
Ranki: Confuse
Miu: Charm
Mumyn: Sleep
Suvi: Paralyse
Rig: Regenerate
Gaem: SP
Saem: HP
Rip: Heal/restore
Main: Ressurect
Teyn: Antidote
Synk: Restorative
Repth: HP Recovery
La, Ol, Ola, Pha, Phal: Doesn't really show much of a pattern, but those for Repth going up with number of targets and amount of HP recovered.
That's everything. Except for the special unique summon spells that don't really follow a pattern, they are Meowwwww, Stuck?, and all the Goblin spells.

Zan - Wind (Introduced in R:2)
"Ganz, Ruem, Vakz, Juka, Raio, Anid", aren't the element per se but rather your stat in that element
-Attack Effects-
Don - Drop
Kruz - Converge
Rom - Tornado
Zot - Raise
Borg - I forget, but it's another kind introduced in R:2. It probably means "Armor-piercing"...
Fang - Wolf (elemental monsters in R:2 are named this way)

Celtic maybe? A friend of mine knows some Celtic so I might ask him if these are from that language.

Maybe...
Though "Rai" (雷) anbd "Duk" (毒) seem like they're from Japanese... Same thing with "Ani" and a lot of others if you're really creative... It's like the Abh language in Seikai no Monshou...

Yeah, I'm actually pretty interested in Japanese etymology (kanji are a great big lie, many of them are compound words), despite it being something of a pseudoscience because of a lack of written material, but the derivation of the Abh language is pretty interesting...

Ah yes, forgot about the physical effects. But those four-letter element things aren't just for stats. They are used in the "Ap" and "Dek", but... they're also used in some level 3 Physical attacks for some classes. The Heavy Blade "Maxima" attacks, the Blademaster "Spiral" ones, the Long Arm "Tempest" ones, and the Heavy Axeman "Punish" ones all use it, i.e. "Ruem Tempest", "Raio Punish", "Juka Maxima", etc.
Well, actually the Fire Maxima attack is called "Vak Maxima" instead of "Vakz Maxima", but I'm pretty sure that's just a typo in the game itself since the other Maximas seem to have the extended name.
The game does have some other typos in skills, including "GiRue Vortext". The other Vortexes are "Vortex".

Hmm, interesting... There's like no system to it then...
It's Vakz in the original, so yeah I think it's a typo...

Also might I add, when Blackrose/Sanjuro use it, they say "Vakz".

Prepair to Die Twin Blade Vulcan Rf Kites only LV 3 summon fire elemental.
Yarthkins Rf, Vulcan Rf, Wryneck Rf Helbas LV 3 summons on her 8 Wiseman staff Earth Fire and Darkness I believe.
Vulcan Pha, Lanceor Pha, Wryneck Pha LV 4 summons Tsukasas's default weapon.
14.Staff of Truth
Level: 95
Skills: Yarthkins Pha, Vulcan Pha, Wryneck Pha all 3 are LV 4 summons Unlike Helba's Tsukasa's wands you can get more then 1 Staff of Truth.
In fact only these 3 weapons in Quarantine I believe are the only ones with LV 4 summons.
