if you're talkin about the Books of Ryu you must
1. have them
B. go to a server (town)
3. access from key items list
and there ya go
ya get some nifty stuff for uppin the data in them

The "Installation Error" books can't be used, they are CCcorp's attempt to delete Kite for possesing the bracelet, but the power of the bracelet keeps the books from deleting him.

It would be even greater if when you used them, it wouldn't just be game over, but it would also erase your saved data in the block you last loaded/saved in. Now that would be truly realistic, as much of a **** as it would be.
One of these days some script-kiddie is gonna design one of those on Fragment. Just like when some dude on neopets was selling rare items for cheap, which were actually modified as things that gave the guy your password when you did it.
