Getting to Cubi in Quarentine~

As I play through this game for the second time, I had to get alot of virus cores to complete four dungeons to get to the AI Harald, Aura, and the final Cubia battle.
I really don't remember doing all that the last time I played.
Before you say it's a loss of memory, I'm good at remembering game things. I would for sure remember having to gather all those J cores........and the 10 level dungeon with mostly data bugs.
but then again, I suppose it could be memory loss T__T
but, is it possible to get to Cubia a different way?

Hmm, cheating? Besides that no... I hate that dungeon... love the dialogue, when you get there would you be able to do me a favor?

What's the favor?

If a person would get to AI Harald, record everything he says, this is absolutely pivotal in my fanfic, and anything Aura says at that time and bring it back to me, this is a large favor though.

once my PS2 comes back from being repaired (disk read error after 4 years ) ill get to herald again, hopefully soon, and ill record it for you ;)

do you want it from when they
first enter the room with herald to the part where Aura is explaining that the only way to defeat Cubia is to break the bracelet?

Yes, please, that would be extrememly helpful, as I keep a mental not about everything Harald says throughout the series this is the only piewce I am missing.

Cutscene # 21 - Aura Released

Triangle Server ( Still don't know the names of the servers ^^; )
Aqua Capital Mac Anu

BlackRose: You're going to see Harald.
Kite: *answers Yes*
BlackRose: I'm going too! OK? I've gotta ask him myself what he was trying to do, and why this happened!
*Kite and BlackRose enter the room*
*Noise is heard and music starts*
*The stone tablet, Harald, speaks*
Harald: Who goes there? Who are you?
Kite: This... This is Harald?
Harald: My name is Harald.
BlackRose: What?! Hey, you're nothing but a piece of rock! You're responsible for the "Cursed Wave," aren't you?! All right then - fix this thing!
Harald: No. The passage of time is irreversible. Birth or death. Now only these two choices remain.
BlackRose: What? What are you saying?!
*Kite's bracelet appears and begins to glow as Aura appears*
Kite: Aura!
Harald: Aura the Child of Light. Emma's daughter. My daughter. Just a little more.
BlackRose: It's no use. This guy is totally gone.
Kite: Aura, I have something I want to ask you. You said that I shouldn't fight Cubia. But why?
Aura: Cubia is the shadow. Where there is light burning in the darkness, a shadow is born. When the bracelet appeared in this world, Cubia was born as well. The bracelet and Cubia are the opposite sides of the same coin. Therefore... if you defeat Cubia the bracelet will be destroyed.
Kite: Cubia must have already known that, and that's why it kept running away...
Aura: Cubia will no longer run away. Because... Because I have finally been released.
BlackRose: What do you mean?
*Area shakes*
Lios: Massive data believed to be the Wave is heading in your direction! That's the last one! Destroy it!
Harald: Traveler, take this to heart. It is darkest before the dawn.
*Massive data surge*
Aura: Run away. It is not too late!
Kite: We'll defeat it, and end this!
Aura: No. It's not... that is -

I hope that helps Xu Yuan. It took a while to find the cutscene online. I hope your fanfic goes well. ^^;

EDIT::: Sorry 401K for beating you to it. I just thought it would be easier to find the cutscene online. My apologies.

No problem, it took a while but I indeed found it. Some site had all the cutscenes from .hack//Quarantine. It was a matter of guessing which cutscene it was.

Now you won't have to replay a second time to jot down all those lines. The cutscene was 3 minutes and 21 seconds long.

As for the original question, the game was always like that. I was kind of ticked off the first time (I actually stoppped playing Quarantine because I couldn't find any J virus cores). You have to gate hack all of those dungeons and collect all these virus cores because I think they had virus cores that were required to gate hack into the one where

you find Harald, Aura, and then have to face off against Cubia.

(Things like that should be in spoilers? Since some people might not have beaten the game yet). So yeah, it may seem hard at first Suyo, but just split up the work over a series of days if you must and you should be done with Cubia in no time.

It was hard to get the J cores. I already beat the game :]
my point was that I think I got to cubia a different way last time i played through~

If only...but unless you were like Alberio and skipped to the bottom of the dungeon, then... yeah...

yea virus cores are a pain... really what i find works is going to an area that you know has the monsters with the core you need. it helps a lot if they are right where you spawn, so you dont have to run and find them. also, remember that you have a better chance of getting virus cores at lower infection rates ;)

Oh right, you are suing Data Drain and Drain Arc to et the Virus Cores, right?

Quarantine is a lot less painful if you get all the Virus Cores you need at the beginning of the game.

but for some, they might not wanna look ahead to see the virus cores needed... in case they read some.... spoilers!!!

IIRC you use this many cores in Quarantine:

A - 2
B - 2
C - 2

D - 0
E - 6
F - 0

G - 11
H - 9
I - 5

J - 13
K - 9
L - 3

It's not mine, a friend sent it to me after browsing through various walkthroughs and FAQs. But from my current playthrough of Quarantine it seems to be correct.
