Just a bit curious on this. Do we have any definite ideas of if it is coming to the U.S anyway?
(I know just a small amount about .hack//roots and .hack//online jack)

I know hardly anything about them either, but I do know that .hack//sign and .hack//legend of the twillight both aired on cartoon network.

.hack//Roots "may" make an apperance on Cartoon Network or G4tv. I can certainly state that .hack//Online Jack Won't be making an apperance on any television station US and JP nor any DVD release since Online Jack is played right into the .hack//GU game disc.

Luckily I knew that much about .hack//online jack. I'll have to keep my eye on G4 and Cartoon Network then,I don't watch tv that often anymore.
That is,ifit does air on tv..

Cartoonnetwork will most likely air Roots, who knows maybe Adultswim. Online Jack is part of the game GU. G4, I don't think so they haven't shown much anime. Then again I don't watch that channel very much.

The only time they ever have anime on G4 anymore is on Anime Unleashed. So,yea,I'm betting with Cartoon Network to air Roots.
Ever notice how odd that sounds?

Yeah I know, there should be an all anime channel. Like Toonami should be an only channel.

Toonami was great before the invasion of Naruto. I mean I would watch Bobobo over Naruto. I can't stand the repetitive "Believe it!" along with his voice.
Yay,we're getting off-topic,but who really cares! Well...probably the mods, but shhh!

...yeah. Because the mods won't hear you if you type quietly.
Anywho,
I resent you Americans and your Cartoon Network.
In Canada, we have YTV and Teletoon.
Which is like...Cartoon Network, just sliced in half between two canadian networks, and then filled in with our own Canadian shows. Which sadly are usually subpar to the rest of their programming.
And we can't even get Cartoon Network as a specialty network on digital cable. Though I assume it's available on satallite.
Back on topic, I don't think either Canadian network will pick up Roots.

Canada is better than the U.S right now and I will not go into further reasoning as to why.

America's C.N. is wierd.
Here in sweden, we've only got regular C.N. and Toonami with Batman and Justice League and stuff... No anime. D:
Anyway, I guess they'll air //Roots on TV400 here in sweden since they aired //SIGN and //Udeden on that channel.

Where an anime is shown is due to licensing and the distributor. Bandai Entertainment has done deals with Cartoon Network in the past for SIGN and LotTB, so for the U.S., the probability of it showing on CN is high. Most of the anime shown on CN is either distributed from Geneon or Bandai, with only two brought from ADV (Evangelion and Super Milk Chan). The last word, as always, is money and ratings, which CN has pulled in with the .hack anime. As to whether it will show on Toonami, Adult Swim, or by itself, I'm hedging my bets on it showing late at night. They did that with SIGN (putting it on around 11 pm, I believe) and LotTB (which was on at ONE IN THE MORNING).

It would be great if it finally came to America. Watching it on Youtube.com in subtitles is starting to get really old.

I hope so. It would be great as long as it isn't on late at night on fridays. I had a lot of trouble staying up and I missed the second to last episode on Yu-Yu-Hakusho. I was really mad when I missed it.

Toonami was good back in the day. I remember it came on everyday back then. It had stuff Like Big O, Tenchi, G Wing, and actual good episodes of DBZ. Now...its a kiddy program

Yeah but Toonami is still sticking with there tradition of having some show that for teenagers and preteens. Though I think the introductions and the music that go with it aren't as good as they use to be.
