I'm not sure if this has been addressed before, but . . .

I guess I just don't understand . . . how did all this happen ? What went on with Mia before the game ? The statement 'Because Mia was Macha' is so enigmatic to me.

If anyone can help enlighten me on Mia's story, it'd be greatly appreciated. I don't know if this is common knowledge, or if I just don't know, or what, but I'm curious.

 in .hack//sign, there was a character named Maha, that served Morganna. Maha was an AI and was also the sixth Phase. However, Maha fell in love (or something) with Tsukasa, the main character, and was data drained in order to save him from Morganna. Because of the Data Drain, Maha became Mia.
