Outbreak's tag series is hard!! Three goblins, super fast and they all heal other! x_X;; Magic doesn't work. Ap do doesn't up your speed quite enough. Suvi lei, mumyn lei, ranki lei and miu lei don't seem to have an effect either.

Any pointers?

You gotta separate them. It's the only way.

That's what I've been trying to do, but whenever their hp gets low they'll run back towards their little goblin friends. Ah well, I guess its one of those things that's just going to take forever no matter what you do.

Will dek vorv work on them?

Saber Dance from the Sora's Blades worked wonders for me.

Also, Orchid Dance works like a charm for most since a lot are Earth element. However, if you attack it physically with a skill make sure you use a Saber Dance based one and NOT Stacatto or Tiger Claws based.

Are you sure you're talking about tag in Outbreak? The goblins I see have no element and they run away too fast for any attack techniques to have an effect. :?

Then use the Sora's Blades. And like I said, use Saber Dance or any Saber Dance based attack. They can't run away from that, just lock on to them. The other two types of attacks they can run away from. Saber Dance will hit them at least once, even if you're a foot away. Somehow, all you have to do is be locked on in order for it to hit. Just use your strongest blades with Saber Dance, or any other attack ending in "Dance". If you have any of the lv3 Saber Dances (Darkness Slash, Red Flame, Orchid Strike, Storm Strike) definately use them.

Ap Do also really helps. You can use a Speed Charm, the Time Blades, the Gemini Soul, or the Lady Killers.

They don't show it but goblins are earth based and thus weak to wood attacks. but good luck getting them to stay still lol! A guide i have says you should wait until they stop running and then cast a spell, but i find you should cast an offensive spell when they're casting offensive spells and if they're healing another run in and kill them as they cast!

They're not exactly earth elemental. Just that their wood resistance is low.

eh, i was just repeating what the guide said. but seriously i hate those goblins. Sora's blades are a real help if i ever get a hold of them. I remember chasing this one goblin for 2 and a half ours and then we had gone the whole way around the feild back to where his buddies were and they healed him back to full! I freaked out and left the area. when i came back i had just about every enhancing andnegative effect scroll there was and i totally owned them! it cost alot though -.- ( i bought 99 of everything)

Here's something. Back out of battle mode, get on grunty, walk next to goblin, get off grunty, quickly go into menu and saber dance, and now repeat step one.

I got bored one day and decided to try out the grunty. Goblins act as if you don't exist when you ride a grunty just like normal monsters.

Wow, I never heard of the grunty trick! I should try it on the next tag I get. I just beat Jonue T and am waiting for the board to give me more keywords.

And yes, I do have Sora's blades.

Use items that cause them to stay put (sleep/paralyze) and use anything to lower their magic defenses. Use your highest magical ability on them when they're stationary......usually doesn't take too long.
I'd imagine the grunty trick isn't too easy if you need to keep running away to get "Normal Mode" long enough for you to use the grunty flute.

That technique only works for Infection and Mutation. Outbreak tag is much more difficult because none of those things work.

I lost track because they are so tedious, but I did it for the final one in Quarantine (the only I remember because I actually enjoyed finishing it. :) )

Try doing the usual, of casting Ap Do on yourself and then cast a Beast's Bane on them. It should then be easier to cast Mumyn Lei on them, and then attack them for the few moments they're still.

At least that's what I did. I remember the ones from Outbreak being much harder than the first two, but I admittedly haven't played Outbreak in forever. :X

what you got to do is wait till you beat the game then go back and kill all the gobs thats what i did.

i got beast bane and got rid of their magic tol.
then with the two togethers (twinblade weapon) i did that electric attack that shows the that thing above your head (cant remember the name)

i think i also used the moon on them i remember it being hard to cast on them so i might have just decided just to attack them instead of putting them to sleep

sorry cant remember exactly
i think its like basically the same stragey that tartarga said

I used ap do and the key is keep them together so when one heals another, attack it as it casts. it will take awhile but not to long.

actually, even in Quarantine, Suvi Lei, and Mumyn Lei work on the goblins, but it wears off the moment you attack them, so one idea might be to paralyze/put to sleep all of them, then focus on one, and recast as needed.
