I don't think we're going to kill tri-edge in VOL 1..

Post by Kiru »

Alright, alot of people seem to think that at the end of VOL 1 tri-edge is beaten, but while we know the games are completely different plot, i'm sure were Haseo all the way through.

But, i think we won't take triedge until Volume 3.

Also, an irelevent note: Triedge is on the cover of Vol 3, although i'm sure this means nothing :P

I've been wondering for a while actually...how much of the media and trailers released correspond to the first game? All of it? Or are they showing us pieces across all three games?

I don't believe that it really speculation, I mean, if you see the image with that is showcasing the Terminal Disk and showing the three vol of GU, you'll see that in the first vol has Haseo, the second has Atoli, and the third amazingly has TriEdge on the cover.

I don't have a clear picture of that image.. but I'll search for another image that has clearer picture because I've seen it before.

Edit:

Here's the image - but I'm searching for a larger on which a better distinct view on the image.. I believe which I saw on the CyberConnect/.Hack website.

The one thing people should recognize is that in the TAF trailer, they stated explicitly that those particular disc designs were not final.

Really? ... Curses :( Hoepfully they'll keep that one >_<...

I still cling to the thought Tri-Edge lives until VOL3.

well if all the characters from each Vol are diferent(wich i dont think) there is a strong possibility that Tri-Edge is defeated in Vol 1.

Not necessarily. Think of Warcraft 3. Instead of having their own, self-contained storylines, each race's campaign is a continuation of the same overarching plot. Suppose Haseo and the others are unable to destroy Tri-edge, but they weaken him somewhat, giving others the chance to carry the baton the rest of the way.

I think the biggest argument towards Tri-edge being an adversary is his name, Tri-edge. "Edge" often has a negative connotation when referring to a sword.

Finally, I disagree about that being Atoli on the second disc, it looks more like Shino.

how can you tell? Atoli and Shino have identical character designs. The only thing that sets them apart are their colors, which a absent from the disk art.

There are more differences than that actually. Although the disc art looks more like Atoli to me.

I think it would suck having 3 different storylines in the 3 games. I'm betting, and HOPEFULLY, the same story will continue throughout the 3 games.

If the game actually did get split to three pieces that had different characters, it wouldn't truly be a trilogy like we would want. As for the whole Tri Edge should not die in the first volume thing, he shouldn't die. It would be kind of lame for that to happen, it would be like as if saying Kite wouldn't stand a chance in this world or something. Perhaps they do defeat him and think he's gone, but when they least expect it, he'll be up for revenge and return to DDing people in "The World".

Such as?

And the Disk art for Volume 2 is of Atoli, it is the exact image of her on the cover of Volume 1.

Not if it's just the same story, with the perspective changing with each game.

and in quarantine it had a picture of aura but we didnt get to play as her did we. but that would be weird if the 1st disc is haseo's pov, the 2nd atoli's pov and then the last they bring it all together and maybe you play as tri edge but i really wouldnt wanna.

There's no point in playing as TriEdge. I mean, he doesn't conform to normal rules.

Helba DOES conform to normal rules. She just hacked her character data and maxed out her stats.
