Infection Questions

I have a few questions.
1. What do items such as the "Tolerance Book" and "Piro's Diary" do? I never tested or used them, so I have no idea exactly how they work. Also, are they permanent, or after use do the effects wear off?
2. Does anyone know any area keywords where I can find "Spirit Armor" and the most powerful weapons for Blackrose and Kite? (I know for the weapons I have to Data Drain Mu Guardians and Hell Hounds)
3. Does anyone know the weakness and strengths of the elements? (I know that Darkness is weak against Lightning)

1. DO NOT USE PRIOS'S DIARY it will take down your magical attack -1 for good. the Tolerance Book is ok it takes up your physical defence by +1. The effects are permanent.
2. Spirit Armor can't be worn by twin blades I hope you know sorry no idea where to find it..been to long since I played the first game. Highest lvl weapons are:
highest lvl weapons for Twin Blades
Hyakkidouran lvl 14~ DD bouns boss (Parasite Dragon)
Bom-Ba-Ye lvl 14~ DD Mu Guardian in theta Chosen, Hopless, Nothingness.
Hell's Gate lvl 14~ trade with Borscht or Alpha Ichigoro in root towns
Dante's Blades lvl 14~ DD Tetar Armor in Bouns Dungon
highest lvl weapons for Heavy Blades
Drad's Sword lvl 19~ ????
Sakabatou lvl 19~ DD Hell Hound in Delta Hideous, Someone's, Giant
3. Elements
Color | Element | Counter With
Orange | Earth | Wood
Green | Wood | Earth
Red | Fire | Water
Blue | Water | Fire
Yellow | Thunder | Darkness
Purple | Darkness | Thunder

What about the Blaze Sword and the Dual Blades? I read up on those tips a while back. Do they work? And yes, I know that Spirit Armor can't be worn by Twin Blades. I was going to give it to Blackrose and/or Mia. They, I found to be the most useful when in a battle against a boss.

I think some random player wants to trade for Piros' Diaryl.

Really? I hope so. Since Piro's Diary is pretty useless there's no point in having it, right? I'll ask around and see what I find out on that. But this still leaves my question of the Dual Blades and Blaze Sword unanswered.

1. Book items normally boost an attribute, so you're basically supposed to use it whenever you get it. You won't have it anymore, but you only need it once. However, Piros' Diary is an exception, it's the ONLY book item that actually DECREASES an attribute, so don't use it, it's a trick. Also there isn't anyone who wants to trade for it, so just sell it.
2. Spirit Armor can actually be acquired by Data Draining "Fresh Valkyrie"s. I forget where exactly they are found, it's been a while since I played... just try a level 20something place in Theta, or use your Ryu Book IV to track them.
The most powerful weapon for Kite is actually the Hyakkidouran and can only be acquired from a secret boss at the end of Infection. But the Bom-Ba-Ye can indeed be gotten from the Mu Guardians, which are in the last area: Theta Chosen Hopeless Nothingness.
Blackrose's Shikisokuzeiku can also be acquired in that area from the Goil Menhirs, but the other really powerful one, the Sakabatou is from the Hell Hounds, and just try random near-max high level keywords.
3. The six elements actually come in three pairs that are resistant to each other. Like Fire is good on Water, but Water is good on Fire. They are:
Fire/Water
Earth/Wood
Thunder/Darkness.
EDIT: For your information there are no "Blaze Sword" or "Dual Blades", I don't know where you read that. There's a "Flame Sword" which is pretty strong for Infection, but the two I mentioned are stronger. So is the Dryad's Sword, which isn't even rare.

Personally I don't remember anyonewanting to trade anything for Piros's Diary. As well, are you sure you didn't mean Soul Blades? They are found in one of the bonus dungeons (not in the gott chest in one normal chest in the dungeon.)
As mentioned before you probably meant Flame Sword.

Well, the information I found on the Blaze Sword and the Dual Blades was found on several tip/cheat sites such as the following...
http://www.primehacks.com/cheat11849.html
http://www.cheatcc.com/psx2/hack.html
http://www.cheatersmark.com/cheats/587
http://www.megagames.com/megacheats/xml ... ml?printer
http://www.neoseeker.com/Games/printabl ... _vol1.html
Need I say more? They're practically found on every cheat site I know of. And it is for that reason that I inquire.

Ah... they got the names wrong. The "Dual Blades" is actually the Bom-Ba-Ye, and the "Blaze Sword" is actually the Sakabatou. I don't know whoever wrote that and submitted that to all those sites was smoking, but not even the Japanese names of the weapons come anywhere close to that. He could have meant general Twin Blades when he said the "rare level 14 Dual Blades" meaning, rare level 14 Twin Blade weapon.
But I have no idea how he got "Blaze Sword" out of "Sakabatou".
Anyway, I'm right, they're wrong. End of story.
