Gaaaaah, I hate asking for help, but I'm at a dead end here. :X

Okay, so here's the deal. I'm on spring break right now , so I'm using the opportunity to finish up Quarentine. I've been playing it without any problems for the past couple of days unti now.

I need virus cores. Badly.

G virus cores to be exact. Ya see, I'm trying to finish all those areas listed in the "To the one who plays the flute" thread, and I'm down to the last area on the list. But woulden't ya know it, I'm missing some virus cores. X3 So i've been spending hours upon hours searching random areas on the Fort Ouph sever, but to no avail. ;___;;

Yes, I've checked Helba's email about virus cores. G cores are found in the FO server from small sized monsters, but ya know what? I haven't found ONE YET. I EVEN GOT A FREAKING J CORE, IN THE FREAKING FO SERVER! THATS IMPOSSIBLE!?!?!? ;;____;;

So, I'm begging you vetrans out there for some help. I'd just like to hear where the best keywords are at Fort Ouph to Data Drain some G virus cores. Also, why the heck did I get J virus cores from an enemy on the FO sever? I thought that you could only get G, H, & I virus cores on that sever, or maybe I'm just an unknowing n00b. >__<

Reccomendations would be greatly apprecitated, and I promise to be your monkey girl or something as payment. X3

well I'm sure you did this already but I check the book for the monsters, Check to find a high level one you can DD with A G core and it's location of the place it was last seen. Other then that I can't really remember where I got mine but all I can say is just keep trying till you get enough. As for the J core question...you got me.

try that that migt help...i am on outbreak and it tok me over 2 weeks to gt that dumb thing!!!you might wann buy a weapon in dun loriege that could o staccato or get aweak weapon that can do tat...if you haven' used moonstone so mch us him and leave him his old weapon nd let him fight the monsters....only have moonstone or a weak twin blader fight only one!!! get the wizard runnin around it has "G"!!!! "G" right or "J"?

To Surge: Unfortunately, I only have the guide book to Mutation. :X I can't find the rest of the guides, and I can't order them online or anything, so I'm winging it. XD

To Boy: THANKYOUSOVERYMUCH~ I'm heading to the area right now. XD
I hate collecting virus cores so very much right now. XD It's really hard for me to protect break enemies now, since all of my characters are level 90 or above right now. ~__~

Thanks you two, and I'll post back to see if I could get any G cores from the area Boy posted, and really. I have no idea how I got a J core from the Sigma server (so thats what you call it? XD) I'm pretty sure it was from one of the hacked areas, so that may be it, but sitll, I'm clueless. ?__?

uhhh....your....welcom?....remember to get a really wak weapon with stccoto and brin a weak twin blader....f you have any now....you wont ave much luck now that our that level....if i were you i would goto mac anu and buy the wekest weapon there

Er, Boy? When you wrote "Something" in the keyword, did you mean I could put any word I wanted in there? Because, "Something" isn't an option on there. :X I put a random word in place of that and added smiling Hypha, but all I got were middle to large enemies. =____=

Well, atleast I got some H cores out of it. XD I'll see if anything else will work.

Here's a much simpler solution. Go to Sigma, Bursting Passed Over Aqua Field (or any place with minimum level). You're bound to see Maxwells or Earth Maidens in any low level place, as well as possibly the Forest Hsein. All the above give you G. Those three are among the weakest Outbreak monsters.

Chatting Snaring Twins would have been a great place to get G's, before in magically moved up from minimum Outbreak level to maximum, when you fought Gorre. Oh well... go to a place the same level as THAT place. However, the level it is now has the DARK maiden I think, who also has a virus core G.

You said you got a J core in Sigma? That must have been one of the sidequest places in Quarantine, either Moonstone's sidequest, or Macha's lair. Well, in Omega, Bigoted Snowflake's Capsule (first area in Quarantine) the monsters are actually still Outbreak level. I believe there's a maiden (dark I think) common on the field there... you can get G's from her.

Spark Maidens are also common in Dying Greiving Battlefield... where you got Moonstone.

Also, a couple can be found in the place you got Terajima, Cracked Worst Milestone. The Skull Hero (little skull-zombie running around that's immune to magic) and of course the treasure chest monsters, specifically the Deadly Present.

Screaming Wind Sand's Fate Castle also has a lot of Dark Maidens.



Anyway, try the above suggestions.

Thank you sooooooo much Zak-san! You just saved me a whole night of area searching! I went back to the first area in Quarantine, and I data drained plenty of Dark Maidens, just like you said! Thanks to you, I can finaly move on in the game again. ;;___;; I am eternaly grateful. XD

Also, I thank everyone who took the time to post here and help me out. I only expected maybe one person to post in maybe a month or two (with a reply in illegible english) but it's nice to know that theres still people out on the internet willing to help others. ^__^

glad you got them I just wanted to clarify that by book I wasn't talking about a strategy guide but the Books of 1000 there located in your key items section., but you may have not gotten that one yet anyway.

I have found the best place to get virus cores from medium and small monsters on that server is to go to Tested Quicksilver Valkyrie. G and H cores are quite easy to get there if you go solo(so your party doesnt accidentally kill off the monsters). Bring potions though just in case stuff gets ugly. Just run laps through the forest area and get them off the monsters there.
