I would recommend something like Amazon since it'd be easier to find it online. But if you have a Japanese specialty store around the area I would check there. The box set for .hack//sign there should be at most $100 and it has the English subs. This is just an estimate from places I've been to.

There's always eBay too like Surge suggested or the dothack store as End of a Shadow suggested.

well that depends on you...I personaly liked it if anything the story just made me want to keep playing throught the whole thing, I had to see how it would end. Buy the first one and if you don't like it don't buy the other three...is all I can tell you.

they have a lot of episodes on youtube.com to find them just go on look for the search bar and type in .hack episodes and let the screen load hit play.

Youtube is a good resource, but I wouldn't use it too often. The quality isn't very great, and there can be skips in the videos sometimes. Also, it's cut into parts, so you have to skip around. If I were going to get .hack// videos of any kind off of a resource besides an internet store, I would check at video places near you (I know that Hastings have a great selection of anime).

I just got .hack//Outbreak and Quarantine off of eBay... since apparently gamestop and ebgames don't carry them anymore. But I got them with the special DVD it originally came with for $50.00 each. :D
