Mia is an AI. She is Phase 6, The Temptress, and she was also cute little Maha from //sign.

I got a question related to that. When her speech gets really messed in Mutation does that prove that she is AI. I was all ready told that she was a phase.

A.I. is Artificial Intelligence or Artificially Intelligent right.

Yes, 'AI' is an acronym for 'Artificial Intelligence'. And since she is an AI and a Phase of Morganna, she can do what ever she wants. If she wants to be a cat, she can be a cat. Doesn't change the fact that it is illegal in The World. She is on the 'To-Do' List for the for the Cobalt Knights. But that's when she is in the form of Maha in GU.

SPOILERS PLEASE! some of us could have read that and it'd have ruined part of the game! Anyway, Mia/Macha/Maha is all one. Mia is showing signs of being an a.i. when her speech gets messed up along with the mood swings, this is due to the fact that her true nature I believe isMAJOR SPOILER that she as Maha from the .hack//sign show to keep an eye on Tsukasa and work for Morganna on that. Afterwards, she remained awake, but not as the phase. When her job was done, she may, MAY have been done with that job and turned to the normal mia since maybe that form (Maha) was for Tsukasa and his likings or whatever. Anyway!, she turned into Macha (phase) due to the fact that she was next in line, in the epitaph, Macha was the 6th phase, so when Gorre(5th phase) was defeated, Mia reverted to her true form because of Morganna needing a new phase, so because of the epitaph's rules that the worl is bassed on, she became MACHA. Yet, i am still lost as to why Mia comes back (Maha), yet I haven't beat the last level .

Mia comes back as Maha after Morganna's defeat because of Aura's sympathy, compassion, gratitude, and respect. Maha is only trying to get to the bottom of the dungeon so that the last fragments of Morganna can be defeated and Maha/Mia can break all ties with The God of Night and pledge herself to the Goddess of Dawn, and be fully reborn as Mia.

Unless... well, does anyone have a scripted copy of Mia and Elk's email chains? I forget what they say and couldn't find one on Gamefaqs or here...

They only send e-mail to Kite in Quarantine and there are transcripts at GameFAQs.

I know, I'm talking about the ones in Quarantine.

And there aren't transcripts in Gamefaqs. There are of Infection-Outbreak emails, but not of the Quarantine ones.
