Useful trick for fighting highly mobile enemies like Gorre.

Post by Qaenyin Angelblade »

There are some enemies in the game that just WONT HOLD THE HECK STILL(like Gorre, Magus, and Skeith). A nice trick I always used for these is this:

When enemies are under the target of a special attack(or a spell is in the process of being cast at them) they cant move until the special attack finishes or the spell hits them. So, if an enemy is being really annoying and you cant seem to keepup with it, get in melee range and spam one of the "Staccato" line of skills(Staccato, Gale of Swords, Twin Dragons, Storm Rage, etc). It will hold the target still for a good 5-8 seconds, and when it finishes you can just cast it again.

It's amazingly useful for those quick hard to hit enemies like some phases that teleport, or the spellcasting enemies.

I know what you mean but the enemy doesn't hold still. It just slows down. Still hard.

It depends on the enemy, certain enemies are immune to the hold-still effect(most obvious example is the golden goblins).

Generally, though, as long as the attack is HITTING them(it has to hit,if it misses, like you said, it only slows them down), they cant move.
