Ending

I just recently beat .hack//quarantine and was kind of dissappointed in the ending. maybe i'm just slow or something but i just didn't quite get it. can someone please explain it to me? thanks in advance. and sorry if this has been posted before.

Aura was reborn as the ultimate A.I. and basically absorbed Morganna thus taking complete control. Also, all the coma victims awoke.

It was sort of a deus ex machina, to me. Just the fact that Aura sacrificed herself and saved the day, without any hint that this would happen. It did kind of come out of nowehere, but I think the conclusion was satisfying enough.
