Copyright laws, eh? I was never one to obey the law, but, its you're choice. I'll just try to find a way to get it myself... and not share it with you guys

it's probably for the best anyway. i mean it's like finding out a b'day present before your b'day.

"but I'll buy it when it comes out here..." is the one liner many people use. I'd like to see a statistic on that because I don't believe for a second many people who
can get a good for free will purchase it legitimately. There is certainly no justifiable way to state piracy is good for any society. However, I do understand that ignorance and age play a large roll in the way people look at the internet being "one large play ground" for free stuff that wouldn't be free otherwise-- Especially if it's from another Country (ie: Japan). Just think what the world would really be like if everyone decided to go against all the positive aspects of social structures. .hack wouldn't exist without laws and the outlook of some kind of profit in providing a unique good. Virtually all innovative thinking would die.
Under Berne Union (which Japan and the U.S. are a part of), an author's rights are respected in another country as though the author were a national (citizen) of that country. For example, works by U.S. authors are protected by Japanese copyright in Japan, and vice versa, because both the U.S. and Japan are signatories to Berne.
Japan and the U.S. are also part of the Universal Copyright Convention.

This concludes the end of my rant.

I agree with you d5t.
If it's free, no one would buy it.
Therefore, the ,Hack project would get no more money.
Therefore, it'd be doomed.
Think about it, all you fans out there.
I'm going to buy it when it comes out because I want to support it.

Nenja: Bogus. 99% of the manga out there start off being serialized in a magazine. (Shonen Magazine, Young Magazine, etc. etc.)
KaenKashiron: You better watch your back then.
I'll also have you all know that if (or rather, when) the manga gets licensed I will drop it. No exceptions. If anyone continues it, feel free, but remember there will always be someone watching you...

Hmm.. I do understand the whole copyright bit, along with "You can't get everything for free, unless you are willing to pay for it." But from the way I see it is,not really everyone on this forum can really purchase those magazines. I mean, isn't it just one ebay seller who is providing them? Or is there another source/site?
I highly doubt that seller is the next convenient store to provide enough for the people who have asked for scans or the same who have wanted the scans, but are still waiting until they are posted up.Unless they really have a lot of copies then, maybe that seller is.
I'm just seeing this from an outer perspective, besides the fact of the childish behavior already stated about asking for free things on the internet.Or they could simple wait until its brought here in the U.S.? I do recall that the original The World magazines were never distributed here,am I correct? If they have,I'd really like to see if they were, because that makes getting the magazine slim for the other users here.
However, with the GU manga,I can see it put into a graphic novel eventually.

None of the .hack magazines ever showed up here, but anything that got serialized in them (thinking .hack//黄昏の腕輪伝説?) has already shown up here anyhow.

So you're saying that .hack//LotB was in the first The World magazines, right?
I apologize if that was a dumb question, but I never knew or heard of them being in those magazines, this is new information to me.Even if it is old news to others.

Well, given that the .hack//LotB cast is most of the time on the cover... don't take my word for it, but I wouldn't throw away the possibility.

No we never stated anything like that. What was stated was "something" will be hosted. That something will not be hosted anymore (the manga).
