I've read finally .hack//AI Buster (live in Germany and forgot, that Amazon has the english version for selling).
Now, why I made this thread:
In .hack//AI Buster, site 212, chapter 4 (Memory), it was told that the locked folder "would prevent anyone from tampering with the system, but by keeping it locked, he kept the other programmers from changing The World."
Well, The World R:2 changed a lot. Well, it completly changed (new classes, old classes missed). So the BlackBox has been opened to change The World. But Aura is The World. Or missed I something (like Ai Buster 2, which I have to order)
If The World has changed, it means that the blackbox has been opened and modified, then Aura has changed too. Somehow I got the feeling that there is a connection of blackbox and Aura.
Maybe, CC Corp ordered hackers to open the blackbox after the burning down of their main building, to leave the old The World behind and create a better The World.
The only person who could change the blackbox order would be Aura.

Re: BlackBox and The World
I don't think CC Corp would associate with hackers willingly under any circumstance. My thought was that the BlackBox got modified or something around the time of, or possibly by, the fire.
By the way, AI Buster 2 was actually a set of short stories. It didn't mention much about the BlackBox folder. It was really meant to explain and expand the reader's perspective on the .Hack// timeline and stuff.

"Hackers", maybe not. "System analysts and skilled programmers", definitely. The only difference between the two groups is whether you want them in your system.Kuroko-chan wrote:I don't think CC Corp would associate with hackers willingly under any circumstance.

And even then, they ended up being associated anyway (.hack//QUARANTINE), despite not liking it.Shinsou Wotan wrote:"Hackers", maybe not. "System analysts and skilled programmers", definitely.
