What class

In one of the episodes twords the end, there is a character with a bow and a quiver of arrows. I dont remember the name of the episode, but all i remember was that sora was in it, and they were fighting a databug. what i wanna know is what class is that person? its been bugging me for a while now, any help is appreciated.

There is no such class. The Archer guy was created without the maker's of the series finishing the games, so the Archer guy, storyline wise, was retconned out. Forget he ever existed, since no one on project .hack will acknowledge him now.

That "archer" is considered to being a Long Arm. I think that dicussion was finally put to rest in .hack//Analysis, perhaps one of the owners can verify that once again.

Shinsou Wotan mentioned that his class was listed as unknown in //Analysis. The character was probably made just to fill in the background crowd without really thinking about a class.

That's correct. As I said here,

Of the 179 characters with entries in Analysis, 178 had their class listed as one of the known classes (Long Arm, Heavy Axe, Blademaster, Heavy Blade, Twin Blade, Wavemaster, or (in Ouka's case) Werewolf). The one exception was the apparent archer from episode 17 of SIGN, whose class is listed as 不明, meaning "unknown" or "uncertain".
