this is just something i thout if haseo runs into old .hack characters(with old sprites not new)Kite and Shugo if haseo runs into them he would attack them beacuse of the tri-edge thing but i doubt he would attack Shugo beacuse he is alot(I mean it) short that tri-edge.

you can post what if he meats other character or if other characters meet him like this:
Subaru,Crim Sylver Knight and Balmung will probably hunt haseo

I'm pretty sure you won't run into any other charachter models because of the fact that it's a brand new game. All the charachter models have changed.

They probably would, but it wouldn't be part of the story. Probably just some optional secret Easter Egg event, such as the SIGN characters in the previous game. Even though the Sora thing was connected to Skeith, it was still quite optional... none of them had any sort of relation to the Infection-Quarantine story. So they might do the same thing.

I can see a funny little scene of Haseo attacking Kite or Shugo thinking they're Tri-Edge.

old models form The World choud not be in The World.2 thats what made so many players angry they choudent keep there char.

She might be, I think that helba and net slum will make an appearence once again, but that's just my opinion. Although I would like some old characters to come back, the best that could happen is that one has made a new character model.

*nods* He would probably assume they're allies or something and attack, which would lead to a 2nd defeat to a bracelet (Kite most likely)
From what I've read in some peoples post and from what I remember from the trailer, Haseo is the reckless type in battle.

Helba's good, but I don't think even she can salvage data from a fire.

Its more than likely she made backups back in the days of .hack//SIGN, .hack//INFECTION, some time before and after the previous series.

You know what I think? May be the old charathers will come back but they won't be themselves. First off Helba could hack into the new version of The World and go to Net Slum to get her old avatar back, if the cathedral can get into the new version of The World then Net Slum can since it isn't really part of The World. Then Helba would get her old avatar but edit it to match the new version like a new class and her outfit will be changed a bit. Then when she sees all the chaos happening she bring all the old charathers back to help out Haseo. If you think about it, it could happen. Remember when Bandai said that the data flag would be awsome? What could be more awsome then Balmung as a steam gunner or Kite as a multi-weapon!?

They said the data flag would make us all happy with what we got. I guess it's a little extra only us who beat the game will know.

I doubt Balmung would become a steam gunner myself, but it's a possibility I suppose and Helba probably could do something like that.

I do Hope so that old charathers would come back it would be more fun. but I do hope the Data Flag would be used for something beside getting Weapons and money and such. but if they say true that Haseo is the reckless type in battle. he would not not like Kite or Shugo that much. but it safe to say that we'll have to wait to beat the game to find out if Haseo would meet the old .Hackers.

As stated earlier they will probably come back in a new avatar if anything, but I wonder if that will be the case for Balmung and Orca, the descendants of Fianna. I also wonder if their legend is even known in this version of the world, probably not but you can't help but wonder.

Unforntinitly this game was made from the ground up with a whole new cast, whole new game engine, whole new classes, and even though its still on the PS2 this game is not directly tied to the previous games and rather its own story on 3 different chapters in 3 separate games rather 1 large game over 4 CD's and that more than likely won't have dataflags of its own.

As stated by the fire incident, it would seem that all character data was wiped and furthermore the involvement out with the old classes and in with the new.

I'm sorry about this 'End of a Shadow', but I think that Sarah is refering to the announcement made by CC Corp 2 that the data flag earned by beating QUARANTINE, would have an effect in the G.U. game. she wasn't taking about G.U. having its own data flag.

At least... I think thats what she meant.

Uh, I was referring to both GU being able to use Infection<>Quarantine's dataflag and GU having a dataflag system of its own as well.

Well apparently the data flags are just one big confusion at the moment.
