I was thinking who made the anime like to mix a lot os things together.

So maybe the anime will be about kite and blackrose and the original DotHackers.

Maybe it will be even with Tri-Edge, who knows. the guys who made teh anime like to mix stuff

I mostly think it won't be about tri-edge. It would most likely be an entirely new cast that shows some of the old charathers in the story line at times.

I agree that there will be a new cast. But there can be some appearance by old characters.

I think it would be interesting to see whats happening in the G.U. world by a regular charachters eyes, and they go on thier own journeys while all of this is happening. But as ive said before, as long as it's new and interesting (basicly not like LOTB), im happy

You know what I think, maybe the new anime well show why The World had to be restarted. It may even show how the guild war started.

Yeah, and maybe the whole idea is to follow the journies of one particular guild against the rest, or just like birds-eye-view the whole thing to get the most out of the storyline...

In a sense, we are actually talking about the upcoming anime series and the likelihood that it will take place in The World R:2 and the GU storyline.

The tone of the GU manga and videogames we've seen so far suggests that this will probably be a very serious Anime, maybe even more so than SIGN due to Guild politics, PKs, and many other factors that contribute to the Grow Up element.

However, I've yet to see the GnU comic strip, which is apparently more comedic, though I doubt this World could ever be as light-hearted as LotT.

The idea of following a particular Guild, or even more than one Guild is intriguing. I would love to see a series about the Kestrel and Lunar Tree Guilds told from both sides' points of view. Another possibility is that the Anime series could focus on the Twilight Brigade, I'm sure there were a few more members than simply Haseo, Ovan, and Shino.

Of course, the likeliest idea, in my head, is that this Anime series will focus on factors of The World R:2 that haven't been revealed or may not be included in the games or manga.

Do you mean that, though very little of the overall plot was carried out in SIGN, what did happen (the awakening of Aura) was of major importance in telling the story?

yeah other than that and adding a little backround to the game's and the sidequest's involving sign char.s, there isn't much to tie sign to the game's.

i'm suggesting that the new anime could have that relationship with the game. it would provide a backround to the game, maybe have some reference to any of the infinity 8 and tri-edge.

it might even show his creation or shino geting DD by tri-edge!

or in the complete opposite direction it could have the general focus of the game but in a different focus.don't know what exactly though.

The creation seems quite unlikely, however an Anime series that follows the Twilight Brigade could easily end with the disbanding and Shino being PKed by Tri-Edge.

None of the separate .hack series are directly connected, so I do agree with you, this new series is almost certainly tied into The World R:2 and .hack//GU, but it won't be linked to the games directly through main characters or something similar.

I don't think the Anime series will be set at the same point as the games in the same way GU+ and Another Birth are. Like I said, the .hack series have never been directly linked and could easily act as standalone series, I don't think that this series will be any exception to the rule.

if you actually seen all the dothack series, they just simple change the story lines but not the character. but everything happen in r1. the world are destroy in the fire of CC corp headquater. after few year CC corp release r2. r2 is create by what CC corp can found the remain data in r1 and added some new thing such as guild and arena. and tri-edge is related in the game or anime.
