Fire emblem... anyone played em? ^_^ ?

heres a battle I found

I have. Clearly. Avatar and Sig are FE sprites.
Don't like FE8 very much, but 7 was Great.
(7 was on GBA, the first oen to come to america. 8 is the more recent Sacred Stoens, and 9 is the GC game.)

I tried playen old ones on super ness (rom) and I couldnt seem to get past the first few lvls... and very confusing battles
i asked people who make gifs of fire emblem how to make and guy told me so ima start maken one soon ^_^

what exactly is it? I have heard of them but all I have heard is that it is an RPG of some kind, what is the overall story? type of game ex:saviong world,saving princess, saviing everything?

hmm confusing to explain.... but ill try.... (next post, just showing that im here)

it's a strategy RPG... You're always a commander guy, who may or may not play a role in the story. the Tactician just commands people. the real story happesn around your main characters, called Lords. then there is all kinds of other characters and classes. Youu're usually saving the world.
and there's dragons involved. and most of the time an item caleld the fire Emblem.

The storys differ... Usaly one kingdom is being taken over by another..... On the sacred stones for instance you can chose bewtween a prince or princess route...

Battle system wise the game is very diffrent... Each team moves all units/attacks then its other teams turn... What makes this difrent then games like ff tactics is... theres a whole nother battle screen and stuff.... and the enemys auto counterattack... And you dont chose SKils to use for attacks (Certain classes have skills thoe) you insted chose a weapon, ranging from thin, witch is weak but has high attack chance. to silver, high attack but lower attack chance (still good thoe)... Each Magic wepaon (books) has theere own skill name by it... (u cannot master only auto use when euipted).. like light skills... Divine, light, thunder. ect.......

There are 4 dif types of weapons
Books, Swords, axes, spears,
Magic (or book magic) is also divided into class individual skills (higher classes can weild 2)
Nature (or somthen like that), light, dark.
Light beats dark, dark beats nature, nature beats light.
Sword beats axe, axe beats spear, spear beats sword.

O and somtimes units can hit 2 tiimes ^_^

Or four times, if you have a brave sword.
(i used to go to some FE forums... not such a great place, but I know a lot about the games from it.)

Where do you guys get these awsome sprite animations? I see them all over the place but never know where to download them. Any information you have about how their made or the history behind them would be much appreciated. Thank you.

Woo I had a phase where I couldn't stop playing Fire Emblem...and just a few minutes ago I was talking about Marth and Sain. Huh. Anyhow I love the game though I suck at the whole strategy thing...get's boring after a while too. I just like real time battles or something like FFVII-FFX. The story and all is great though, even though I've only really played the first one on the GBA...I have Sacred Stones though I've gotten basically nowhere in that.

Still planning to buy the Gamecube one though. Woo for Fire Emblem!

Edit- Myeh what's Shadow of Colossus even about really? I mean the game...it looks nice but I'm planning to waste my money on SC3.
