So I just finished watching sign...I hadn't watched it for a few years so I thought I'd go see it again. Everything seemed to work out well enough except that I didn't quite understand what the key of the twilight is. Did the key of the twilight ever appear in sign? Is it Tsukasa? Aura? Kite's bracelet? Someone please explain to me what I missed >.>

The Key of the Twilight is Aura, you were almost on the right track.

I thought...  Piroshi talked about it with Natsume in some interview before G.U. came out... that it was breaking out of that 'cause and effect' loop that everything is in. I can't find the article or anything else anymore... but I thought it was something like Tsukasa's realizations that helped him break out of it... but I suppose he did use Aura at the end to free himself... and Aura could be the key since she actually did everything, Tsukasa's realizations just helped...

The Key of the Twilight is Aura, but it's also Tsukasa, and many other things. It's a symbol that can be attributed to many different things.

Aura is the Key of the Twilight because her birth is the beginning of the Twilight Incident. Morganna is the Key of the Twilight because she actually initiates the Twilight Incident. Tsukasa is the Key of the Twilight because he awakened Aura. Harold is the Key of the Twilight because he wrote Aura. Emma is the Key of the Twilight because she wrote the Epitaph.

The Key of the Twilight is kind've like Lain. We're all connected through Lain, and the Key of the Twilight is the symbol that binds everything together.

Or it could just be Aura. Y'know.

Here is my interpretation.

Twilight. What twilight? The one happened in the game?

So the thing whom started it all is the key to the twilight based on this.

Well, it can be aura, who is the direct key to it. Or it could be Tsukasa for awakening Aura. Key to the Key to the Twilight?

That Tsukasa was the Key to awakening Aura so Tsukasa would be the key to the Key of The Twilight, if Aura is the Key of The Twilight. So I guess he's saying that if Aura is the Key of The Twilight, then it owuld kind of be a key that needs unlocking which is pointless. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Some interpretations call Aura the Door of the Twilight, which Tsukasa is the key to. When the door opens, Aura awakens and the Twilight Incident happens. Then, after passing through, you close the door behind you and you're left with the complete Aura in a better World.

The first episode will explain. I guess.
