This is actually kinda a random question, but I suppose I'm kinda a random person, go figure...

Anywho, I have come to a time in my life where I need to make decisions on what I want to do with my life and where I want to go and end up. And I also want to do something worthwhile with my life also, so I seriously considering national service. Me being a firm British patriot and all I've made up my mind that I want to join the Royal Navy as an Information Systems Officer (interesting with a lower chance of death). So I got my plan worked out about how I'm gonna pester the Navy to sponsor me through Uni aaand stuff like that but thats just me.

BUT I was wondering if anyone here has considered joining their Nation's respective armed forces? As they usually offer a lot to someone if your willing and able (you know the propoganda pretty much already) .

So have you considered it? Or are considering it (much like me, only I've sorta made my mind up)? Or are you actively serving now (in which case what the heck are you doing here!?!)? Or have served?

I was actually in ROTC for the US Navy for nearly a year. However, due to circumstance, I left. Now, I don't have the mindset or the physical abilities to join any armed force. I'm actually a bit ashamed about it, but what are ya gonna do, right?

Absolutely not, and I'll leave it at that. I like to keep my political views to myself.

I won't if I deem it is an unjust war. If an event like WWII happened, maybe...but no gurintees.
