when you raise your grunties ever notice how those stray ones have DEMON HORNS on their shadows it SCARES ME @.@ what are your thoughts

Sorry quoted ya anyways, rofl. I guess King Grunty got lost in translation because in the English version Hotaru's grunty turned into a Longhorn Grunty. Least that's what they called it.

Don't forget that Kamui said Hotaru's grunty was illegal, it can pass through areas without warping via flying, which is impossible in game mechanics, and it's obviously Artificially Intelligent now. Zefie made the rumor come true. The World is evolving because even grunties are growing AI, albeit assisted, so it's not autonomous, but what next, monsters with AI? NPC's? The World is becoming independant.

I think .hack//GU continues that independant the World thing, but that's a whole different discussion.

Didn't Hoatru's grunty come like that because it got Data Drained? If so, how is anyone else supposed to get it if you gotta DD it.. o.o

No, Zefie just overstuffed the poor thing. and Kamui said the thing was illegal, so it doesn't matter. No one else can get it. The King Grunty class is like the Key of the Twilight. It doesn't exist as something obtainable to the ordinary player.
