How do I Data Drain the BlackDeath monster at the end of OUTBREAK so I can get the Golden Yasha?

..I don't remember getting a 'Golden Yasha'..

I almost got the Golden Yasha....i was so close..but stupid Balmung killed it before i got to data drain it...-straggling a plushie Balmung-

i WISH i could've PK someone in my party in the .hack games when i am really mad at them!

dont take balmung take black rose and gardenia or garndenia and a wave master. then command the wavemaster to first aid and just have gardenia attack and u just cast spells. or if u take blackrose have her and gardenia attack while you heal and throw in a spell here or there BUT not too many and just wait for the protect breakb to come it many take a try or 2 but its the fastest way to get the golden yasha.

 also you should have gotten the stragty guide so you can do the phatom event and get the special items and trade them to get the cat armor and in the dugeon sigma abrasive false tragedy you can get the rare item bear's sword. its bear's(from.hack//sign) sword

Yea i having the same trubels with it, It dont matter how many times i do it but i cant protect break it. I even put on my weakest wepons on my team and end up doing 1 HP to it a hit but it still doesn't work.

what level are you? in order to it it easy you need to be level 98 and 99 and have the gates of hades weapon

This is OUTBREAK not QUARANTINE.

Well the Gates of Hades wepons might help but the level shuldn't matter that much but you shuld be at a resonalbull level.

attack magic

Try this:

1: Try using wiseman and an attacker w/ high HP
2:you NEED dek vorma or a lot of items with the same effect(lower magic defense)
3: Both you and wiseman with a high level summon(CH level for you RF level for wiseman.)
4:have the attacker run up to the boss and just start healing themselves, you and wiseman remove Black Death's magic tolerance and start pwning it with magic.
5: repeat step 4 until protect break.
6:profit!!!!!!:D

This may take a while. If it doesn't work let the attacker hit it with a skill once or twice it should work then.

EDIT: I found the two together is a perfect weapon for Kite in this fight because it's a strong attack and magic attack blade and has Lanceor CH.
DD a Stare for one. the stare also has a head armor with phal repth so that might help to.
