That is very cool looking! Interestingly enough Guilty Dragon recently had an event where you could fight .hack//GU phantoms. I managed to grab a few screenshots:

We don't know what it is yet (maybe .hack and maybe it's not)

This is business as usual in Guilty Dragon. It's a .hack social game, so it uses .hack content, and then reuses it again (as social games are prone to do from time to time). It seems unlikely it has anything to do with anything else they're working on, unless you start seeing something completely 100% new in it that could be an easter egg for a new project.

More phantoms have been added over time. At first it was only the Kite, Haseo and Blackrose look a like phantoms.
