A Mecha anime about a squad of evolved pilots who fight an mostly invincible alien race using advanced mecha with a special system that responds to their survival instincts.

It's not really my kind of robot show but I've been watching it anyway. I like the Betterman reference in the recent filler episode, and I like that it's the first show I've seen in a while that doesn't use the Soylent Green plot twist.
