Ragnarok online, but only local and private servers, I tend to think of it more like a mini side job, does Dark Souls count?

yup, but VERY difficult as well, but the rewards are worth getting yourself killed over and over again.

I don't play any MMOs, but i play several online/multiplayer games on the PS3. At the moment i play:
-Tekken Tag Tournament 2
-Street Fighter X Tekken
-Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3

And though i don't play them anymore, i still have these games and would play them again if a good chance arised:
-Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker
-Assassin's Creed II (Brotherhood and Revelations)
-Call of Duty: Black Ops
-Red Dead Redemption

There were others i played too, like Uncharted 2 and Dead Rising 2, but since i rented those games i don't have them and so i can't play them :P

Let's see...
I've played RO (Ragnarok Online) when I'm in mid-school, it was kinda fun to play with real life friends :D
I played on Private server though, as a Super Novice! then I try become BlackSmith :)
My hang out city is either Morroc or Payon. ah, Payon... what happened in Payon, stays in Payon. LOL
But I stop playing since I graduated since we're falling apart.

I also played Seal Online for a very very very short period of time. Perfect World too. despite of beautiful graphics, confusing interface and lack of friends keeps me from going.

Then I'm into RF Online (Rising Force) that was the golden age of my MMORPG-ing!

If you don't know RF, it's a PK heavy MMO that involved three warring nations being hostile to each other, every single time, in every means possible.
three times a day there's chip war, each nation battles for glory and chance to mine in Crag Mine.
when I say PK heavy, it's 100 worse than PK-in in GU, you basically can get PK'd 3 time each time getting out of safe area (if you're lucky)

I was Bellato, an Armor Rider! Together with my friends (an Infiltrator, Berserker, and Shield Miller) we PK some n00b, getting PK'd by godly players countless times too LOL
We fought Cora, Accretia, run away from them, sacrificing our tanker (lol!), setting up traps, grinding, farming or looting, discovering new bugs and glitch, sweeping monsters, got a fight with our own race, cause trouble and chaos, trolling each other and having silly fun. LOL. good times good times.

sadly, I don't play it anymore...

try it! but it rather sucks to play RF without trust-worthy friend (either real or online) because like i said, it's very PK heavy, you can literally back-stabbed by someone you you think you 'trusted'. And this game require lots of time, energy, and patience to build up 'well' character. You can't even level up peacefully because of sweeping patrol of other nations player, even if you find good spot, you often ended up fighting over it with your own race. and not just level if skill points are poor, that's pretty much a defect despite of being lv 45+. And money! how I hate economical crisis in RF, basically, the losing nation will be put in hard time, because the price is skyrocketing. And war time mostly very hectic and lagging for hundreds of player swarming Crag Mine and kill everything insight.

This game is pretty much for masochist LOL, I wonder how i can put up with this for years. Maybe because there's great community in it :D
