It's been confirmed. Coming out with a new release of their budget version in August without MGO I guess. Existing games will get their trophies via patch.

Wondered if they consolidated all the chapter installs into one?
It's confirmed. FULL INSTALL!

The patch will also include full install.

Gonna make space to play it all over again. You betcha!
Now, if only Sega will patch trophies for Valkyria Chronicles. T_T

Bronze You enjoy all the killing, that’s why. Killed many enemies in one area, and vomited.
Bronze Divine Wind Caused a “divine wind” using the Tanegashima.
Bronze Hands Up! Held an enemy soldier at gunpoint and performed a body check.
Bronze Emotion Control Controlled an enemy soldier’s emotions using an Emotive Magazine.
Bronze Hurt me more! Shocked an enemy soldier using Mk. II/III.
Bronze Drum Can Addict Knocked an enemy soldier flying using a Drum Can.
Bronze That Tune Is His Mind Control Music Played Oishii Two-han Seikatsu and made one of the BB Corps dance.
Bronze Overhead view — just like old times… Used overhead view on Shadow Moses Island.
Silver SUNLIGHT! Obtained the Solar Gun.
Silver I Just Don’t Fear Death Caused ALERT status while wearing the Corpse Camo.
Silver Where I Can See Ya Located enemy soldiers using the Scanning Plug.
Silver Ghost Photography Addict Snapped at least 5 shots of ghosts on Shadow Moses Island.
Silver FaceCamo Addict Obtained 10 or more types of FaceCamo (excluding types obtained via password).
Silver Can you feel my power now!!!? Took control of an enemy soldier’s body using the Mantis Doll or Sorrow Doll.
Silver Are you an Otaku too? Viewed all model posters.
Silver You’re pretty good. Got kissed by Ocelot during the final battle.
Gold Flashback Mania Viewed all flashbacks.
Gold Sounds of the Battlefield Obtained all iPod® tracks (excluding tracks obtained via password).
Gold I am THE expert on weapons, equipment and cutting-edge technology. Obtained all weapons (excluding weapons obtained via password).
Platinum The Legendary Hero Obtained all trophies.
At first glance, it looks easy, but wait. Just checked and yeah, unlocking all the iPod songs requires you to collect all 40 emblems, including the Big Boss one.
Also, it only lists 20 trophies. People expected 34 trophies, so maybe story ones are hidden.

I haz question o3o
Will it be possible to just load your save file and instantly get all trophies you've already adquired? For example, i can understand that certain actions such like knocking an enemy over, shocking him, getting kissed by Ocelot, etc., must be done once again so the game can register the action being made, but i already have the Solar Gun, more than 10 Face camo, and almost all of the iPod tracks (i have all emblems EXCEPT the Big Boss one...i think i even took a photo of my screen with all emblems except that one XD). So, if i load my file with such things already obtained, will i instantly get the trophies or i need to get them all over again, which would mean restarting the game from 0? D: (lol back to Zero 83)
Getting everything else once again would be a pain, not much because of difficulty (unless i already had the Big Boss emblem...then i'd just be mad, that is by NO MEANS easy and i couldn't even get past the second level XDDD), but because it was really time-consuming and i don't have as much free time as i used to have like 3 years ago when i played it D:
Still, i highly believe that Konami already predicted that so many players would have at least finished the game once, in average with 20+ emblems, and several with all emblems. And since what they'd want is for people to regain interest in the game and enjoy it once again, i guess it really makes more sense if you have to restart it all to get the trophies D8 Unless they really don't mind that almost everyone will just download the patch, start the game, enjoy the constant bling-ing of trophies, and turn off the game and never play it again. lol
Also, i don't know what to think about the lack of online trophies D: Though i believe i didn't get past lv10 on that. lol
And what the hell did Kuukai just say D; lol

No trophies have ever been retroactive for any game. We would both have to start over. I'll just overwrite my old saves since I still got them. I got one just at the starting of the Big Boss Extreme difficulty too.
Big Boss Extreme Run
- Complete in under 5:00 hours
- Have 0 continues
- Use 0 health items (Rations, Noodles, Regain)
- Have 0 Alerts
- Have 0 kills
- Use of special items (Stealth/Bandana) is forbidden.
- Complete on The Boss Extreme mode
There is no save limit. So save at the beginning of a new map. If you screw up, just reload a save. Try again.
JPN are getting the patch Aug. 6 so hopefully US gets it too.
https://twitter.com/Kojima_Pro_Live/sta ... 0637151232
There are hidden story related trophies.
Gonna keep trying until I plat this game.

Thanks for all the information and details!!! C: And enjoy your trophy-hunting yourself!! There's still not any date for me to fix my PS3 or get another one, but whenever it becomes possible for me, this will probably be the first game i'll play. I'm almost sure i'll stay at 1 trophy away from Platinum though D:
And yeah, i knew about that and i even kept several savefiles, like for example when i managed to finish one area but i wasted alot of tranq. bullets or i wanted to see if i could finish it faster (saving time as early as possible so that, theoretically, later in the hardest areas i could afford spending more time). But the jungle-ish area was just IMPOSSIBLE, every freaking soldier has the eyesight of an hyperactive eagle and covering every single spot in the map. Having the privilege of saving at every area is sure awesome but doesn't help me when i simply have no idea how to pass to another area D8 And by watching YouTube videos, i see crazy japaneses doing crazy stuff like knocking soldiers with the drum can or walking RIGHT NEXT TO THEM at an IMPOSSIBLE angle with IMPOSSIBLE timing, things i simply cannot replicate without ending up in disastrous fail (though my drum can attempts were very, VERY amusing XDDD). So yeah D8 lol
Oh, and i also now get to see why they didn't include Online trophies. Oh well, i lost my amazing lv10 soldier and my amazing kill-death ratio of like 0.05 :c lolz

FDJFHDKFJDLFSHOWWWWWW!?!?!
Well, first, i'd like to add that i have a new PS3 in my possession now, and indeed, after finishing my business with Street Fighter x Tekken i started playing this one and i'm about to finish my first run, in which i aimed for trophies and collectibles and all the random **** that needed to be done. Well, in fact, i've finished it already, it's just that i'm at the last Act and i have 20 hours so far, and i wanted to get the Chicken emblem (because that one's so annoying, and i already have every other requierment for it...which i won't get again as i want to dedicate myself to quick Stealth playthroughs), so i'm pretty much losing time inside a can until it hits 33 hours at least. I even already have ALL the stuff like crawl for 1 hour or roll 200 times or hold-up 50 soldiers (had so much fun groping FROGS and getting kicked in the balls 83), so when i finish this run, i'll have all the medals except the specific ones, like Foxhound/Tarantula/Scorpion/etc XDD
But anyways...
HOOOOOW!?!?!
HOW DID YOU DO IT!?!?
DID YOU FOLLOW WALKTHROUGHS!?
DID YOU WATCH VIDEOS!?!
DID YOU HACK THE GAME!?!!
DID YOU SUDDENLY BECAME BIG BOSS HIMSELF!?!?!!
I NEED TO KNOW!!

I did that too with the frogs haha. I never used CQC on them before until trophies came out. Then I CQC the next frogs, pat them down and......... hahahah!
Chicken Emblem is time consuming. Even watching all cutscenes and doing all the other stuff. I still had time left over.
I used this walkthrough with commentary for the BBE run.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Itwc9Y9jFVc
It helped immensely through it. Act 3 is literally hell. Spent SO MANY HOURS just on the bike chase. Got to a point where I can hit the left turret guy on the humvee down the street when EVA does a U turn. Solar Gun and smoke grenades are really useful on the bike chase. Even the last boss wasn't as painful. It talks about the resistance glitch in act 3. How to take out crying wolf in like 30 seconds and even RAY in about the same time.
Couldn't stun and smoke grenade Crying Wolf as well, so I camped under the truck. Taking out RAY is based on luck since ramming into him with x will bring up the triangle prompt. There's a low chance that it can do like 50% damage from the charge.
I saved often. Act 1 took longer than I expected because I was too cautious and conserving my tranq ammo. Don't hesitate to use the mk. 2 pistol to tranq soldiers. Can't buy any tranq ammo, stun, or smoke grenades on BBE so don't go trigger happy.
Here are my times.
Act 1 in 51 minutes.
Act 2 in 52 minutes.
Act 3 in 18 minutes.
Act 4 in 43 minutes.
Act 5 in 49 minutes due to 15 minutes in credits alone that are unskippable.

Yep, it seriously is. As i said, i've done ALL the other stuff already, watched all the cutscenes, and took WAY TOO LONG in several areas (like 2 hours in the all-out war part in Act 1...i think i got over 200 kills there. lol), and i still have at least 13 hours to go D: I don't remember the Chicken emblem being that tedious the last time...but i think i actually obtained it in my very first run, the one where i didn't know crap about the game and everything was all new to me and i probably took 10 hours to finish Act 1 XD lol

Woooowz o3o Thanks alot for that!!! I know it'll be more than just useful info!!! 8DD
Back when i played this before trophies, i remember how difficult some parts were when i was obtaining the Stealth and Bandana (i dared myself to obtain both in the same run...after all, if i couldn't do that in NORMAL, what chance i stood to obtain the Big Boss emblem? XD lol), and yeah, the Bike chase in Act 3 was VERY difficult for me, eventually passing it by SPAMMING Stun Grenades; i did a similar thing in Act 2 during the Drebin Gecko chase, but that one was easier as only the first two parts have zombie-soldiers and they're too zombified to be a big problem. The Crying Wolf battle was very difficult too...i also camped under the truck, spamming all my tranq. bullets until all FROGS were out, then quickly went to Mosin the crap out of wolfie and hoped she wouldn't summon any more FROGS (which ALWAYS caused Alert on me). And i usually take out RAY by shooting at him and "stunning" him, ramming him with X and doing the Triangle prompt that makes REX do his "Meggido Flame" attack (the laser attack...which i call that way because of a certain FF8 attack. lol); sometimes i can ram him with X right away, like when he's shooting at me or before/after the water cutter, but usually i opt for shooting anyways for extra damage. I usually take about 2 minutes in the battle though, and until i watch that part of the walkthrough i can't imagine taking him out THAT fast D8

That sounds a bit contradictory D: I know i shouldn't go crazy with my tranq. bullets, but i shouldn't be too conservative either? Because in my failed attempt of a Big Boss run (which ended at the beginning of Act 2), i was too conservative as well and BARELY used any bullets in my first Act D8 I always looked for any way in which i could entirely avoid soldiers or hide from them, restarting over and over and only using them if it was ABSOLUTELY necessary; i would even use the Mark. II to stun enemies just so i wouldn't use bullets. I took over a hour in the first Act though...like 1:20 or so D: So, i shouldn't be THAT conservative and i can actually use them without THAT much worrying?
Oh, and sorry...because of my initial shock at seeing someone obtain the Big Boss emblem (which in my opinion, is the hardest rank to obtain in ALL MGS games...i obtained the hardest ones in MGS1 and MGS2, and though i could never get through the river after The Pain in MGS3, overall i consider MGS4 as a much harder game), i forgot to congratulate you for obtaining such an extremely difficult accomplishment, one that i still doubt of ever that awesome and skilled to obtain myself.
So...
CONGRATULATIONS!!!! 8DDD

What I meant was you'll find some tranq ammo later. I'm not sure in which acts. I know act 3 has them. Act 4 has stun and chaff grenades. You can use lethal means on their beasts version and it doesn't count as a kill. I was being too cautious and sneaky at the last zone. I got spotted into caution and didn't tranq the guard. Used corpse camo, which did stop the caution timer, but I didn't move from my spot. Guards went back to position. Wasted time there as I should have tranq them and kept sneaking.
Thanks Sorrow

I did the BBE on MGS2 years ago. Getting Hideo Kojima's dogtag was really hard. Those requirements were CRAZY! Never did a BB run on MGS. Didn't know you are allowed to use Bandana/Stealth on them?

Oooh i get it now o3o I've been watching that one playthrough you provided and yeah, he picks up tranq. bullets several times already in Act 1 and 2. And i'm done with my chicken (and 18 other emblems') run, already starting another one in which i'm aiming for Stealth and Bandana, like a test for BBE but in Solid Normal. So far i suck though...i finished Act 1 in 53 min but the FROGS battle was a huge fail, with missing Stun Grenades and putting my own team to sleep and using perhaps more than 50 bullets D: But it's all a nice practice for the real thing. lol

You know, i don't remember anything about Hideo Kojima's dogtag, unless it has to do with the rest of the dog tags you can get but i doubt it (since they don't really have "requirements"...just shake the selected victim D: lol). And i didn't use Bandana/Stealth on my MGS1/MGS2 Big Boss runs, in MGS1 i started a whole new game and in MGS2 i just refused to equip them. And it was such an awesome, mega challenging experience. The Hind D and the Harrier were the hardest bosses for me in each game...i remember keeping track of the amount of Stingers i needed to take them down (better than just staring at an "endless" health bar), shooting at them through mega fast reload, and taking so many hours against them (7 against the Harrier) to the point i didn't even need to look at the screen and could play through sound alone. And i felt so proud that when i defeated the Harrier, i did it with no damage (not even a random bullet), and days later after i finished the challenge i defeated it on my first try under the same difficult; i felt so skilled and like if i was a better gamer than ever XD Yeah, good times 83 lol

Oddly enough, those are my favorite boss battles too XDD I LOVE them. One would think that, after so many hours of torture against the Harrier, i'd never want to see it again. And yet the Harrier was the first boss battle i replayed, and the one i've replayed the most in that game. I also LOVE the RAY's battle...but yeah, i'm never taking down the ENTIRE RAY mass-production ever again D8 Even though they were much easier than the Harrier, each RAY goes down in 3 hits, and they're the most predictable and nothing can go wrong if you follow an easy pattern, that battle is such a huge test of endurance, both physically and mentally. And even more after having to fight like 300 Tengus which was another huge test of endurance as well.
...
I love these games so much .___. lol

Finally! YAY.

The Harrier and Hind D are fun fights, but not so fun on Extreme. I died so much on the Harrier. Memorized all its attack patterns and beat it unscathed. The part where Solidus chokes Raiden near the end is hard. I barely survived that. My friend got stuck. He couldn't beat it and gave up. I told him years ago to keep trying, but he never did.

They're fun to me, even on Extreme D: And i died...as many times as you could possibly die in 7 hours, considering that the battle lasts for 5 min at most, and often i'd die in less than a minute XD
And yeah, that part wasn't meant for humans to pass. It's like 90 seconds of the most painful torture you could ever bring to your finger. First time i passed it with such an insignificant health that i had to restart (that part, not the whole run) because i simply couldn't defeat Solidus with that health; it was basicly 1HKO and avoiding ALL of Solidus' attacks was just impossible for me. Then i tried it again, and again, to the point of removing all my wristbands/bracelets/etc. and putting all the strength i could possibly have, and eventually survived it with 3/4 health. I also couldn't grab the controller for a while D: lol
And
CONGRATULATIONS!!!! 8DDDDDD
AGAIN BUT NOW FOR THE PLATINUM 8D lol
I'm still scared about BBE myself. I finished my "test" run (and obtained the Stealth and Bandana...and all trophies except that certain one) and in under 5 hours (4:25 or so)...but i used like 10 healing items, like over 400 tranq. bullets, and i made ALOT of mistakes. I pretty much fail at any area with FROGS (Octopus battle, Wolf battle, their own battle), you need to use grenades with PERFECT accuracy and timing, and i can't see how the HELL i'm going to pass that bike part in Act 3 the way he did. Hell, i can't do like HALF the game the way that Tetraninja guy does. There's so many parts where he just walks by carelessly with no problem...and i get caught 100% of the time (STRAIGHTFORWARD MY ASS DX). Time won't be much of an issue...but i think it's much easier to survive against an Extreme Harrier in Perfect than to pass the first FROGS battle and the bike chase D8
So yeah, all my respect and admiration for you for being able to succeed in that kind of run ಠ_ಠ

Tetraninja makes it look
EASY. He must have done a lot of runs on extreme. I couldn't do some of that stuff either.
During the bike chase, there are 3 parts. You can save at each part to get through it. After the 2nd part is where your health replenishes.
Turn on auto aim helps at the third part of the chase. Turret guys on humvees take half your health.
Also if you forward your ps3 clock, it heals Snake for 25% health for each day forwarded. Metal Camo also reduces damage by 50% but decreases your camo index by 20%. Its downloaded from the extras menu and doesn't count as a special item. Wish I had known about it earlier. Would have made it easier for the difficult parts in the game.
