Story: Within the Earth, The Destroyer awakens and begins to cause cataclysms and earthquakes, releasing monsters. In its final phase, the Destroyer will annihilate the Earth and all living things on it. To stop the Earth's destruction, The Creator chooses one Nominator and five Pillars to stop the Destroyer by fulfilling the Rite of Resealing. The Pillars are humans close to the Nominator; they are sacrificed and the resulting energy is used to seal the Destroyer until it reawakens and the sealing ritual begins again. The story begins during the 1,685th Rite of Resealing. The Nominator Jin, , becomes a Pillar for unknown reasons and is slain by his close friend Gray. Gray is then forced to become the Nominator and complete the Rite of Resealing by sacrificing the other Pillars to stop the Earth's destruction. Included amongst the sacrifices is his close friend, Marie. Overwatching the Rite are an engimatic man named Bachs and a strange woman. Gray has been forced to become the nominator for Years never once physically aging thus his strange outfit as opposed to the those chosen which would appear a bit more modern every time is specifically chosen for their own individual skills for such and usually a different nominator is chosen every rite but Gray has been forced to relive this nightmare for eternity never being able to escape his own fate but something has changed in Gray since the last rite he hates the creator and the rite of resealing and he searches desperatlly for a way to save the world in a alternate way that doesnt involve Sacrificing any lives but as it stands gray doesnt stand a chance againce the destroyer alone the only way they hope to stand a chance is if the pillars stand alongside the nominator and they completely destroy the Destroyer before another tragic tale of death and destruction is told.

Bio: Nathan Stark is a scientist employed by a research company called Global Dynamics. He was studying an artifact of unknown origin. One of their experiments went awry; the artifact emitted a multitude of radiation and caused the death of one of Nate's coworkers. The artifact itself was destroyed, teleported, or something else that caused it to vanish. Nathan was put on leave after the event and found that his ring had been altered by the artifact's radiation burst and has since been trying to figure out how it works.

Nathan and Gray are relatively close, very relatively, as their relationship consists mostly of periodically exchanging greetings. After their first real conversation Stark realized Gray was far older than he looked and briefly attempted to get the older man to allow him to study his condition, although biology isn't Stark's specialty. He was unoffended when Gray did not acquiesce to his request, plus Stark got his hands on the ring not long after that, and so is content to leave Gray be on that matter.

A medal that, when worn by Zorlo gains a dull shine that slowly grows as the day goes on. Although Z is unsure why, he has surmised that it is storing ambient energy that it can unleash in order to heal wounds.

Medalsome: By praying upon the medallion, Zorlo unleashes the energy stored within the medal and heals his wounds.

According to rumor, two other pieces of the hero set exist, and Zorlo has begun looking into where they are.

Appearance:

Bio: Aelina's guard and "hero" in training. Although his discovery of the Hero's Medal was a complete accident, Zorlo's begun training to become a true hero. HIs training in fencing and his study of the hero relics have lead him to believe that by finding others, and constantly training, he can become strong enough to keep Aelina safe from any harm that ay befall her... at least for now.

Gray: ( sitting In what appears to be a grand library reading)......

Gray: ( he hears girls voice ring through his head)....Marie..... ( he removes glasses as he plAces the book down and he fades away into blue light as he appears in a town undersiege of monsters with the harbinger in hand ).....it's always the same

Zorlo knelt down as his father and a few others stared at him. "Zorlo, my son..." his father said as Z's mother, dressed in leather armor, approached.

"My son... rise," she said as Zorlo nodded and stood up.

"For a long time, our family has carried the Hero's Medal in hopes that it would shine and a new hero would be born. It has taken a great deal of time, but never did I believe that person would come from our own family. Zorlo, you make us both very proud," his father said with a bow before he stepped backwards.

His mother smiled as she stepped forward to speak this time. "WE have trained you for something important, and now is the time. You are not the strongest of men, but you carry the true secret of our family. You are smart, agile and dextrous; these skills will allow you to fight against even the strongest of foes, so long as you never forget our words."

Zorlo nodded as he adjusted his cloak and stood up. "We are the warriors of speed. The warriors of intellect. We strike fast and only deal damage that is significant. Should we fail, we regroup and attempt again. WE do not fight needlessly against overwhelming power, but turn the odds on overwhelming numbers. That is our secret... that is our strength," Zorlo spoke the words as his family members and the other members of Order of the Lost Heroes spoke as well.

"Excellent. My son... go forth. You have a duty... remember to do it well," the woman said with a smile as Zorlo stood up and nodded.

In silence, Zorlo walked off and headed upstairs. He needed to check on Aelina.

"Hold," a hooded man said with a smile as he held a sheathed sword out and handed it to Zorlo. "Take that, you'll be needin' it, lad," the man said as Zorlo grabbed the handle of the rapier and nodded before walking off.

Stark, dressed in his morning robe, opened his door to get his morning paper, took one look outside and shut the door. "Goddamn Umbrella and their freakin' B.O.W.s. Sara, call GD, make sure this isn't one of ours and appraise them of the situation. Time to suit up." He dressed in his finest suit and grabbed the ring. "Tragic as this is, it's rather convenient. There's nothing quite like field testing. Lab tests only go so far."

As he stepped outside for the second time, Nathan formed a shoulder mounted mass driver with his ring and blew away the nearest monster. "Simple projectile weaponry, good." A huge six legged rhino hurled through a nearby building, Stark fired a shot at it. The monster's armored hide was unscratched by the attack, but he did get it's attention. That's not good. The mass driver disappeared as the "rhino" got within 20 yards, then it was 10 yards away, and then it was on top of him. Nate dropped to a knee and created an archway over himself to allow the beast to pass over him. "That worked surprisingly well. Unfortunately, now that thing is running wild. That armor's too strong for projectiles. Let's try this." He created several 10 yard high poles topped with boxes in front of him. The boxes emitted powerful sonic waves in the direction of the rhino, it stumbled and then fell to the ground howling in pain. "Can't just leave you be." An exoskeleton of light appeared around Nate as he walked over to the Rhino's maw, he pried it's mouth open and placed a spiked ball inside. Spikes shot out into the monster's head and then all of Stark's constructs disappeared and he looked down at the ring. "Just how much power do you have?" Power levels at 60%. "Nifty. Well, full power or not I can't just leave things like this." He pushed his sunglasses up and headed to where he figured the most people would be cowering, dealing with monsters as he came across them.

Gray: { he dashes throough a group of Monsters}...* breathes softly* { the monsters scatter into pieces}....{ he senses Starts energy as well as zorlo's} filthy creatures prepared to be Purged I'll shalll pass judgement on your tainted souls! { he emits a faint blue aura as he readies his halberd he then dashes towards the second batch of monsters}

human soldier:.....who...who is this man?

Human soldier 2: ther- Theres no way Eyes as blue as the Azure sky.....Snow white hair...along with tan skin...he... he can't be...the nominator?!

{ the soldiers stop to look towards gray}

Human civilian: but the nominator is just a legend my parents told me as a child the nominator is nothing but a story to help people feel safe!

????: "when the destroyer emerges and threatens to peace of gaia the nominator and the pillars shall Rise unto the land to protect humanity from destruction and so shall the world begin anew".....looks like its more than just a story

Gray: { Gray spins as he slashes through a monster as Runic marking appear up Grays arm}...I'll Destroy every last one of you

"Don't be ridiculous. Nominator, Pillars, that's all a bunch of flim flam. That man there is obviously the descendant of Fiana, Balmung of the Azure Sky. And this is just some attack by unknown aggressors, don't go spouting apocalyptic nonsense." Stark said as he walked through the crowd. "Sir, you should stay with the civilians we'll keep you safe." Stated a soldier. "Yeah that's great and all, but I think." A blast of green energy shot forth from his ring and smote one of the monsters that was about to kill a soldier. "I can help more here." Another one of the massive rhinos charged through buildings, and then two more came through the debris flanking it. Stark raised his hand and a pyramid of light formed around the regular mortals. The rhinos charged up the side of the structure, eventually they stopped about halfway up confused and began stamping trying to break through. A spiderweb of lattices formed reinforcing the pyramid. Hurry it up Gray. i don't know how long, the ring's energy will last.

"Lantern." Someone murmured. "Green lantern. it's a green lantern!" Shouted a small child with a magazine ran up to Stark. The scientist looked down at the awed boy and looked at the magazine, a comic book. A guy with a ring in a green aura was doing something very similar to himself, except he was flying in outerspace. And then Stark found himself rising into the air with a green aura around himself. He said to himself, "Well I'll be." he turned to look at the rhinos smiling. "I'm a friggin' superhero. I'm glad Jack isn't here, he'd get a kick out of this." The pyramid dispersed from the ground up, causing some minor panic until the sides of the pyramid folded up forming a box around the rhinos and then Stark threw them as hard and far as he could outside of town. "That shouldn't have worked. But it did. Wish I had time to study the physics behind you oh well. Let's get to work." He dove back to the ground and sent a blast of energy into the earth. All around the group of soldiers and civilians earth driven by green light erupted and formed into a fort, using the light Stark condensed and hardened the earth into very strong and durable walls. Power levels at 43%. "Walls are as strong as I can make them. I'll try to draw them away from you."

He flew over to Gray and helped him clear away some monsters. "Gray." He said and formed a staff of light which he proceeded to use to smack a couple of monsters around. "Danger. Eye protection Required." A blue laser burst forth from the end of his staff and cut through a half dozen of the monsters and blew up the cars behind taking out a few more. "And that is why I love being a scientist, you get to play with all of the best toys."

Zorlo pulled Aelina along by her hand as he moved through the crowd and away from the monsters. IT didn't take long for the two of them to be cut off from a crowd to hide in and found themselves surrounded by monsters. "Crap," Zorlo said as a monsters rushed the girl. With a powerful push, the green-haired 'hero' moved his ward out of the way and drew his sword. Through some mighty shoddy dodging, he narrowly evaded a number of monster attacks and, with swift attacks, managed to wound a number of demons. Shallow cuts and some holes didn't seem to stop the creatures however.

A large beast stepped forwards and with a mighty swing, sent the lithe hero sailing backwards into a pole. The pole didn't give way, but the man did. His whole body ached, and he narrowly pushed himself to stand and dodge ever so slightly to avoid being crushed by another monster attacking. His sword buried itself all the way through the monster as he tried to catch his breath. The swordsman removed his blade and sliced quickly, splitting the creatures neck open as he dragged himself along.

"Aelina... where are you?" he asked, trying to keep himself upright. His whole body hurt, but he wouldn't give up. This was what the dextrous warrior had been trained for... even if he knew his lack of real combat experience was putting them both in danger.

"I-I'm right here..!" she replied to him as she rushed back up to his side. She couldn't do much to support his weight, but the frail-looking girl did her best as she called on her powers. Emerald light flood into the injured Zorlo from her hands, working quickly to repair the damage to his body, both inside and out. Though she hated it, she knew that this was all the support that she could give her dear friend. "Thank you, Zorlo. You've always protected me. Are you okay?" she asked as they rounded a corner.

Gray: { he releases a earth shattering blow that strikes the earth causing a a massive Wall to form cutting the civilians off from Gray and stark} ...your still alive huh?... I'd say its about time I clear these monsters from this city but first { he senses Zorlo and Aelina}....help me clear the way! { he dashes forth as he hacks and cleaves his way through he slams down on the rhinos skull hard as he tosses his weapon skyward he leaps and catches his weapon as he comes back down and slams his weapon back into the rhinos skull causing a crater}....he notices zorlo and Aelina as he sees several monsters closing in on them he Dashes as he makes it just in time to slide across the ground as he spins the harbringer 360 degress clearing the monsters as he readies forr the next wave with his back to both zorlo and Aelina} Are you two okay...if so go with the well dressed shade wearing man.. { his eyes glow blue as they become as clear as the sky and his blade gathers a ominous aura as all the attacking monsters attention turn to him}...I offer up this contract to bear the wicked spirit beast that sleeps within the atmosphere...

As soon as evil energy was felt in town, the demon, a crearture with goat-like horns and big, blood covered wings appeared within the monsters and the nominator with the pillars, the demon looked at both sides of the battle, a monster interrupted this, jumping to his side, just right when the monster touched the demon, this last one grabbed the monster's arm, and sucked it's soul little by little, then turned to the nominator "Oportet relinquere nominator ... Oportet esse tutum usque exterminatore oritur ..." After this said the demon was attacked by the monsters, then uncountable souls could be heard screaming "Daemonium... Egressus!" The demon's sword appeared in it's hands and the demon swung it to a side, cutting trough the monsters close by, and started to repel the others comingç

One of the monsters latched onto Stark's back, it's claws glanced off the aura surrounding Stark. Force field, nice. The staff-laser disappeared as energy arced through the little monstrosity and sent it flying into a light pole. The ring pulsed twice. Warning: Nominator's energy levels rising dangerously. Stark flew over to Aelina and Zorlo and formed a "bubble" of green light around them and himself. "You two don't happen to know what's going on, do you? I'm Doctor Nathan Stark, by the way. We should probably grab some cover before he does whatever it is he's about to do." The bubble moved with them as the trio moved into a building. That or the bubble moved and pushed them along into the building if they didn't go willingly.

Gray:....Demon you should leave as well...I plan the purge this whole area { he allows the three to gain a safe distance away}....Not yet...{ he allows his power to continue to grow}....almost there { his weapon howls as Gray unleashes his aura and he starts as a slow run which then turns into a mad dash towards the army of monsters}..... Marie.....I'm sorry the last thing i would ever do if throw away the power you gave your life for...theirs no options left.......{ he crashes through a segment of the army as he starts to hack and cleave leaving nothing but monster corpses in his wake as he slams his hand into the ground runic markings appear up his arm as energy surges through out the ground as the energy explodes upward}....*breathing heavily*....not yet...I still havent used it all up yet { Runic marking appear over his body as they glow Blue as he finishes his incantation}...I am the nominator my sole purpose is protection of gaia and her people I shall act as the creators sword as I cast judgement unto thee!...I offer up this final contract to bear the wicked spirit beast that sleeps within Gaia...{ he begins running towards the army of monsters} I shall end it all with this The creators will shall be passed.... Purge.....heavens wrath { he nearly dissapears into a Aura of energy as he rushes the monsters and the area erupts into giant heavenly wings of light as Chains of energy erupt from within the ground as well nearly blowing apart the wall he created earlier as the smoke clears alone stands Gray as the harbringer receives a massive crack as it begins to fall apart only a piece of the blade remains in grays hand as the runic marking vanish}.....*breathing heavily*..... this isnt the end... { he looks on at the destruction} how many times must I see this....how many times must the world end?....damn I have to hurry and find the Pillars this time will be different...I won't allow the pillars to be sacrificed their has to be another way to end this cycle for good { the survivors including soldiers start to come out from behind the wall as they take a look at their now desolate town as gray walks off towards Nathan, zorlo and Aelina with a limp}...I'm too old for this sh-

The building they had sought shelter in, was completely decimated. Though debris fell and waves of power blew past, the bubble was unyielding and when it was clear that the storm had passed the bubble popped and debris fell to the ground around them. Stark looked at the destruction wrought and whistled, taking his shades off for a moment revealing pale lime eyes. "I've not seen destruction on this scale since Kistiakowsky." He pushed his sun glasses back on.

( the soldiers direct the civilians to help search for any stragglers as the rest share the responsibility of setting up a temp camp)

Gray: ( he jumps up to Nathan and the others) your alive? That's good news then... That's quite a flashy accessory you have on...i'll never understand kids and their fashion sense I guess ( he sits down against the wall holding his arm its evident he received damage from the last attack) its not over...I was only ward off the creatures for the time being who knows when they'll come back first ( he manages to stand as he continues to hold his shoulder) first Nathan do you have any medical expertise?

Aelina Came to Gray's side before he was even finished asking the question. "You helped us out as well, right? Please, allow me," the kind girl said as she reached forward and Emerald light shone from her hands, steadily healing his wounds and other injuries on his body. She looked at him again as she healed him. "You're the one that protected us until Mister Stark saved us right. Thank you for your help," she said to him as she momentarily winced from the pulse resonating through her from Gray's status as Nominator. What was that...? she thought as she finished up. "There. All done." She turned to stark now and smiled. "And thank you for saving us, Mister Stark."
