SOPA 2.0

It only passed the House of Reps. It still has to get through the Senate then the White House.zaseo wrote:I been away for a bit but I know CISPA was passed. I wonder when it takes effect and of course Obama lied about vetoing it just like NDAA.
The 90's were pretty good though. Good clothes, good people, cheap gas, and the video games were more fun. People used to actually hang out instead of texting or talking to each other online.zaseo wrote:It this pass everyone is going to go back to living like they did in the 90s with today's technology. Privacy would still be here but in different ways. SOPA, PIPA, ACTA, CISPA, and anything else they come up with sucks.
Me too. Though I was in preschool during that time...Erranty wrote:The 90's were pretty good though. Good clothes, good people, cheap gas, and the video games were more fun. I miss that ****.
inb4 the illuminati conspiracy theorists morons~Internet Censorship isn't going to fix anything. Its not a remedy for something either, because the companies lobbying for it are still making record profits off of low quality crap anyway. Yes I do believe the internet needs security, and that companies should be allowed to sue EACH OTHER over copyright infringement, or have links taken down that lead to their product. That doesn't mean the entire things should be closed down and you can't really accomplish that anyway.
I dunno. I just don't think that people who don't know all the implications of something should be voting on it if it'll affect the lives of millions of people.
Its got nothing to do with the illuminati, its just Lobbying. I think Lobbying should be considered treason since these people are making laws for the whole nation when all they're supposed to do is PROTECT THE PEOPLE, now they're just looking out for their financial backers' interests.Keyaki wrote:inb4 the illuminati conspiracy theorists morons~Internet Censorship isn't going to fix anything. It doesn't really matter if people believe in it or not. Sooner or later the US government likely will censor the Internet and its going to suck. The Internet was epic in its prime but when censorship comes its going to be epic fail.Keyaki wrote:inb4 the illuminati conspiracy theorists morons~Internet Censorship isn't going to fix anything. And like what happened with the prohibition, it'll just go underground and get dangerous.zaseo wrote:It doesn't really matter if people believe in it or not. Yep! If they think non Internet privacy is bad now its going to be far worse they censor the Internet. I'm pretty no matter were you go as far as social class is concern there is always that local bootleg guy selling movies and music on every corner.Erranty wrote:And like what happened with the prohibition, it'll just go underground and get dangerous.zaseo wrote:It doesn't really matter if people believe in it or not.
