Deus Ex: Human Revolution

The game is amazing. It is pure cyberpunk goodness and everything is eye candy - I really wanted a .hack game like this (minus the FPS part), with it taking place IRL and a bit inside the game.

I'm only a bit in, I've been running around Detroit and just headed to china.

What does everyone else think?

Don't need to, this is a prequel. Beat it afterwards.

I noticed that but...Prequels are better if played later...You get that sense of completion. Like all the pieces and facts fit together now. Know what i mean?

I regret not buying this back at the store, oh well might as well wait for the next shipment, but is the gameplay linear or open world?

I swear I made a thread on this a few months back.

@Kaori- Deus Ex is a mix of both; you have to do fulfil plot points in order to progress, but you can fulfil them in any way you choose to, and -as a result- the game changes to suit what your actions are.
I recommend you play the first Deus Ex before playing this one, however.

It wasn't bad, just felt a little short and how you played it didn't have any effect on the ending. They have a DSL for it now but it's a little too expensive for my taste. I was glad I managed to  save the pilot.

Saving Malik wasn't that hard with a rocket launcher and an EMP grenade, got the game already and I'm back in China, gotta say I like the combat in terms of gunplay but not so much on the melee, unless you plan on doing stealth Melee's.
