Okay so I know that many of you guys either played it or heard of it and I took advantage of the $20 deal on PSN and downloaded it complete with all the DLC, so if anyone is interested I'm willing to party up and take on tougher enemies or just wanna come along for the rides.

I've got the GOTYE for PC. Already beat all the DLC and main story in Playthrough 1. Working on finishing every mission before doing Playthrough 2.

This game is seriously amazing though.

True, BTW do you know any good guns I should keep an eye out for?

Anything Pearlescent, Orange or Purple will fit your bill nicely.
As far as Snipers go, the Volcano variations and and the Lancers are all very nice, though the best is the 'Fearsome Bessie' (+500% critical)
Pistols aren't that good in the postgame, but Revolvers on the other hand can win the entire thing for you.
imho, if you either have a skillset based on using Revolvers or Caustic element weaponry, look out for the 'Pestilent defiler' (One head shot on anything that isn't a boss is pretty much an instant kill)

It really depends on which character you are. But in my experience there's really only 2 things you really need to keep.
1. Any weapon that Regenerates ammo.
2. Weapons with really high accuracy for their class.

Shotguns can have all the power they want, but if only 2 of those bullets are gonna hit your enemy until you're right up in their face there's really no point. And Sniper's with Accuracy less that 97% are worthless.

Oh, and if you're Mordecai go for the Sniper Tree. When you get that final ability maxed your opponents shields mean nothing, and that lets you kill Eridian's in one hit most of the time.

I'm roland, I like the fact that he's more into support and has that scorpio turret, its good to know that you can have covery fire even when playing alone, and what would be the best shotgun to find? Or at least a combat rifle?

With Roland you don't really need ammo regen, his turret can do that.

As far as Shotguns and Rifles I'm kinda weird. When using him I have shotguns that have a scope, and snipe with them. Then I have Rifles with elements. Though I would recommend Acid Shotguns, NEVER use explosive ones since they only seem to explode once every 7 shots.

his turret can regenerate your ammo? I thought you need to get it through his skill tree first?

You do, but you don't need that kind of skill until the point you get it.
In fact, ammo is so common in later levels that you won't really need it at all-unless you're trigger happy.

I still recommend the Pestilent Defiler, and-on caustic shotguns-the Vitriolic Crux
If you're still starting out, however, go for the Blister; It may not look like much at first, but trust me when I say that it destroys.
In fact, I'd go as far saying that caustic weapons are the best weapons in the game.

EDIT: Scratch that; while caustic weapons are definitely amazing, the Volcano and the Hellfire definitely give them a run for their money.

Erranty wrote:Then I have Rifles with elements.
Which elements do you use? I play mostly as Mordecai, so I never really bothered that much-the fearsome bessie plus his sniper skills kind of puts everything else to shame (Except for the Volcano, but that's an exception).

With Morde (my main) I have that shield penetration perk, so I can't use Explosive cuz that always hits shields first and there's no point using Shock. For snipers I prefer raw damage, but since I'm a Gunslinger I've got 3 Repeaters Tediore Protector, Maliwan Firehawk, and a Dahl Hornet. All of which are in the 110-130 damage range. And a Tediore Equalizer that does 394 and has Shock x4, even though its a shock, its still a 1 hitter for most everything.

For Roland I prefer Acid shotguns or Shock shotguns. And I use Acid and Fire rifles. But I've only got him around level 30.

I tend to veer more towards SMGs than repeaters. Once you get past level 69, I find them to be a helluva lot more useful.
The perfect example would be the maliwan hellfire-and thanks to farming Crawmerax I have about 5 of them ._.'

EDIT: Also, Kaori, if you need help or anything, my BL tag is 'fishm4ker'.

I was offline when you asked this.
I would've really liked to, seeing as I feel it's one of the best DLC packages.

yeah I noticed that the zombies there level up the same way as I do, anyway are any of you interested in trading weapons? I'm looking for Eridian guns.

You really want to use Eridian weapons?
imho, they're all absolutely awful, except for the ones introduced in the knoxx patch, and even those are barely tolerable.
Granted, they have unlimited ammo, but you shouldn't be running low on ammo anyway ._.

As for trading guns; I'm honestly fine with just giving them away.
You pick up a lot from Craw runs ¬_¬

I just like to collect them, although I dont have much to trade except a few measly atlas guns and 1 sledge's shotgun with INSANE melee damage.

Oh. That's okay then.
In all honesty, I have no Eridian weapons on my current character whatsoever.
I do, however, have a hellfire, numerous sniper rifles, a modded caustic revolver I was given on an online game a while back, and what I think is a caustic shotgun.
As I said before, I have no problems with just giving the weapons away. If I need any more, I can just fight Craw again :U

What's your online tag for Borderlands?
