.hack fans across the world! hello

now ive been playing, reading, watching .hack since about 2003, 2004 and not till I was much older did I realize that this franchise seems (well to my eyes) to have heavy psychedelic influence. fractal images, constant misunderstandings on the basis of why we exist (or any other question not normally asked referring to life, reality, fate, or the basic "why?"), ambient music, breaching reality, mind consuming lore, ect..

idk maybe im just crazy. but just out of curiosity, is there anyone out there who sort of understands what im going with? not to many ppl who have interest in franchises such as .hack really experiment with any type of drug, let alone psychedelics (LSD, LSA, shrooms, mescaline, peyote, ect..)

i hope nobody ends up badmouthing me for posting this. if you plan to, then you're ignorant for thinking psychedelics are labeled in the same context of other foul drugs.

I guess in a way you could consider it to be psychadelic. I get where your coming from in how there are some pretty trippy situations and there is definitely some underlying things in the games, but maybe psychadelic is too strong of a word to descrive this phenoma.

Granted, no-one has to respond if they don't want to, though that doesn't change the fact that this question could easily get a lot of people in to a lot of trouble, after all, just about anyone can access this site. And we all know what some people are like concerning this topic...

EDIT: I'm talking about you asking us if we've ever done narcotic substances, not whether or not the games were possibly drug influenced..

what privacy? i dont know you, and I doubt other people know who you any other user personally. and how would this get people into trouble? i admit to doing various drugs in my life and even in a court of law i could admit to doing them. as long as im not selling or have any on me its fine. you think the internet police are gonna find these posts and track us down to fuel the war on drugs?

my question is basically both. if people think this game is somewhat psychedelically influenced, and if other people who have done these "specific" drugs can understand what I'm talking about.

plus a narcotic substance would be something along the lines of oxycodone, hydrocodone, heroin, morphine, ect.. psychedelics are more like LSD, LSA, shrooms, mescaline, salvia, DMT, 2C drugs, peyote, ect..

I think that you are using these forums in an inadequate Way, because..... I didn't get what you're talking about, but i understood the Drugs part.....

Maybe someone who got bad your idea (Not including me) could call the "Internet police" and they could really track you ddown, or to say the least, someone would be very angry at you or got you wrong, because of saying that you done drugs and maybe they're saying "He's laughting from the law..... let's see who laughts at last..." or maybe just report you..... Just saying

No "internet police" will track anyone down simply because of a random conversation in a random topic within a random forum =3= If that was the case, then some members would be in jail since 2007. lol

Not sure if the admins will have a different opinion than me on this, but for me, it's fine to talk about psychodelics and debate if some themes in .Hack were influenced by them and all, however, tone down any discussions related to "drugs" by itself, such like talking about which ones you've taken or how you've taken them. Not because the "internet police" will track people down or whatever...but because it might be unpleasant to some members and will bring conflictive discussions in here which we don't need at all. And of course, no talking about where you get them or where you can buy some, let alone offering them yourself, since that by itself would break rules involving advertising and personal profitting from members.

So, this topic and the conversation are fine, and there's nothing "illegal" about it (downloading music could be even more illegal, law-speaking ;/), but just focus more on the conversation about .Hack, rather than the members doing drugs or not.

I once sniffed a *Mushroom* while shuffling in the deepest part of a dungeon, then hit da bong with a side dose of *Mandragora* to help with the dizzyness. Finally, I injected some *White Cherry* into my bloodstream to help with the stress of fighting Data Bugs while hitting up the *Speed Charm* to stop my heart from slowing down.

Hmm..Haven't seen any hint of drug use though.

very cute. there dosent have to be drug use to be an influenced product. take these 2 video games for instance:

1. super mario: a small italian plumber and his brother both eat mushrooms and fight off walking/flying turtles and other extreme fictional creatures to save a girl who is of the mushroom kingdom (psilocybin[shroom] trip)

2. pac-man: you run around a dark room with neon lights wile eating a bunch of pills and running away from ghosts. while repeated electronic music is played (mdma[ecstasy] trip)

and my belief is that the writers for dot hack (judging by the types of psychedelia) used quite a bit of man-made hallucinogenic chemicals (LSD, 2C chemicals, or even going as far to say DXM)

I kinda understand what Nogarath is talking about.Correct me if I'm wrong,but I think he's talking about if those drugs you named were influencing the creators of the .hack games.The situations and the things the characters say really get me thinking.Like when Haseo,Khun and Endrance went to Moon Tree(I forgot which one disk) and had to fight the members infected with AIDA,after they defeat Hiiragi Endrance goes into this speech about about relationships and loving one another equally and stuff.And then there are those moments when they make me question reality.So I can understand what he means,but it's kinda hard to explain.My head hurts just trying to figure out a way to say it lol
