Members of the World Council sat at a round table on the remote island Shiloh, ” What the hell do you think you're doing? Declaring war? Marching into cities? Kidnapping, even murdering children? This is unjust!" "Silence Hiro, you lack the wisdom and knowledge to understand our goals for peace." "But-" "...Hiro... is it really worth it? Every... every time we have a vote.... you lose...and… it takes-" "Sui! You never care about anything!" "Children! All of you! Now Kiyu, you understand that in this declaration of war you will be suspended from the council, and you will be unaided by the." The council got quiet once again, until the leader of the Earth Country, Tsuchi finally spoke "We accept this war! However, I'll have you know the Earth Country will not go down without a fight, and we certainly will not lose." "Bold words from the one who had his cities ransacked. This world will go to war against Dios, but first you'll fall for allowing them to rise in the first place!" "Maybe if you cared about the people in your country, they none of this "Dios" nonsense would be happening!"

Welcome Back! This is an old RP of mine that I really liked, but died prematurely, so I am resetting it up!
Back-story: This is a Mage RP. It is set in a world different from ours, with five continent-sized countries. Each country has its own type of magic, Fire, Metal, Wood, Earth, and Water, respectfully. Each country lives differently than any other, but for the most part, Metal is Urban, Water and Earth are Sub-Urban, and Fire and Wood are Rural. The world they live in is nearly as advanced as ours is, with the exception of the internet, and cell phones. The world used to be under the rule of the Five Mystical Dragons, who were sealed away thousands of years ago, that partially created the magic used today. Also, the magic directly given to us by the Dragons is now known as "Forbidden Magic." Those using this magic are often outcast or ridiculed. An evil organization known as the "Dark Institution of Outcast Society"(D.I.O.S./Dios) is run by, and fathers, the mages using "Forbidden Magic", but also others who are “outcast from society.” The World Council of Mages, although individually powerless, rules all the countries together, including the military of each country. Dios is trying to cause civil wars and recreate the world in the image it used to be when dragons used to rule the world. Their ultimate goal, however, is to remove the seal on the Dragons and unleash them to the World, showing all the mages that the "Forbidden Magic" is more powerful than any other is. The Leader of "Dios" is a Forbidden Earth Mage, who has caused volcanic eruptions, tsunamis and massive earthquakes. The Metal Country has now declared war on the Earth Country.

Bio: Marcus is a city kid from the Water country; he has a slurred accent, and often needs to repeat things more than once. His little sister Rika is also a Water Mage, but Marcus fights so she will not have to. He loves children, and tries to avoid having harm come to bystanders. His school provided him a pen pal project to another country, and he wrote to Oni. They soon became friends and they often write to each other.

He's taken care to weed out his accent as much as possible since he figures it'll make him easier to understand overall and thus eventually get him more work although he'll still slip into it when he's talking to his brother or sister.

He has taken the name of his master, his real name unknown to him as well. Though he hardly shows emotions of affection, his cannon is without a doubt his favorite weapon.

He gets his nickname for being able to visualize a battlefield as if looking down on it from above even if he's in the thick of the fighting and also for his incredible swiftness of foot.

During her stay there, army recruiters and drill sergeants placed her in several “brainwashing” programs, but all to no avail. She continuously resisted and was to be placed in a child detention center when she escaped.

Offensive: Fire - Complete control of Fire.
Defensive: Light - Light as a healing power.
Forbidden: Lightning - Long distance Lighting; very powerful, inflicts damage on user as well.
Metal: People have a life expectancy of 78 years of age
Offensive: Armor - Metallic exoskeleton to make them Stronger, Faster, and Better than ordinary people.
Defensive: Alchemy - Shape Metal into any form imaginable.
Forbidden: Tank - Turn parts of the body into Weapons made of Metal.
Wood: People have a life expectancy of 84 years of age
Offensive: Forest - Plants and trees that ensnare, immobilize, and even puncture.
Defensive: Nature - Healing using roots.
Forbidden: Poison - Parasitic plants and poisonous gases.
Earth: People have a life expectancy of 66 years of age
Offensive: Rock - Super-strength and can stones and parts of the ground.
Defensive: Ruins - Sandstorm that goes around the user and protects them from all directions.
Forbidden: Dark-Earth - Complete control over Tectonic Plates.
Water: People have a life expectancy of 42 years of age
Offensive: Ice - Use of Ice in all ways imaginable.
Defensive: Water - An indestructible bubble of water.
Forbidden: Blood - Use of Blood as a weapon and shield.

There is a World Council of the Five Elements, having one representative of each country, all of them have Defensive Magic and are seniors of their race.
Lifestyles:
Metal is very advanced, and very technological. They have a strict self-run government, and magic is mostly kept secret to the point of there are people who do not know they their type of magic. They have a large mage army though, which can use their magic in public. They kill off any imperfections including Forbidden Children.
Water is very peaceful and people get along with each other, they all work together and respect each other, and war has never happened, people use magic in public, and children even play games using their magic. They have a self-run government, but it is very lax and allows them to do as they deem fit. They treat Forbidden Children no different from others as a whole.
Wood is mostly rural and forestland, it is often peaceful and has no government, but they believe in the Village Elders and respect them. They train in hand-to-hand and weapon (mostly made from wood and rocks) combat, as their magic is weak. They all use their magic as part of everyday lives. They raise Forbidden Children in hand-to-hand combat instead of honing in on their magic skills.
Earth is very powerful and has powerful Magic if used correctly, they are also naturally strong, and they live in a semi-modern community, and train both magic and fist fighting to be a powerful Army. They abandon Forbidden Children.
Fire is lawless and dangerous to live in; most women give birth at a young age to help continue their dying race. They have an army, which is their only sign of humanity for the most part. Most people die in village fights or join the Army. They use magic as they wish, but are all trained by parents and elders. They idolize Forbidden Children.

Magical Cannon: Erasure EMkII
Magical Weapons use pure magic to perform a simple task. Metal Country has succeeded in extracting pure magic from prisoners of war. Extracting the magic from a human kills them instantly, and it takes about 100 people to initiate the cannon. The magical cannon is the second Magical weapon in existence. Can only be fired once, and needs to be reloaded. Fires the magical energy as a beam.
