The northern kingdom of boletaria was once known to be a prosperous kingdom until it was engulfed by a strange colorless fog, all who ventured into the deep fog never returned, until vallarfax of the royal twin fangs broke free and told the world of boletaria's plight, the king had aroused the old one, the great beast below the nexus from its eternal slumber, which brought the colorless fog unleashing terrible demon's who hunted men and claimed their soul' those without souls also lost their minds, the mad attacked the sane and chaos reigned, the legend spread quickly and may were drawn to the accursed land and the demon's souls but none have returned.

well this is my first RP so let me make a few things clear:
follow the rules, if you dont you'll be simply branded as "must ignore"
You can only choose 2 races: phantom or human
Phantom: you must describe your death in your bio, you can aid the living as a familiar.
Human:state your goals and class.

Bio: an only child in a family of knights and a girl, her father was furious at first but later raised her as a son to compensate for her status, upon hearing of the damned state of boletaria hoped to vanquish the demon's but instead met her fate at the hands of a demon known as the vanguard, she now spends her time in self pity within the nexus making bitter remarks at adventurers who try where she had failed.

Bio: when he was a child his parents died in an accident, no one know why they died, but it was when they adventured into the colorless fog, it is said that from that death the rumors about the fog spread, he practiced magic with his uncle and cousin, he learned everything about magic, and he was given a weapon to protect himself, he is now 17 and he wanders around town as The Adopted Son of 'The Big Boss' of The Police.

the timeline is during the middle ages, since you're new you can call for phantoms like me to act as your familiar's, however phantoms who wish to be human can kill other's in order to regain their body, thus turning their victims into phantoms as well, anyone who goes into boletaria DIE's, however some such as yourself have made it into the nexus alive, from here the maiden in black beckons you to help rid boletaria of demon's, since its you and me I guess I dont have any choice but to be your familiar.

"Damn!"she exclaimed as her sword was shattered by the demon's attack"I wont give up!"she rushed at the demon but before she could do anything else the world went black...
"since that day..."she thought about her death until another human appeared in the nexus,
She stared at the young man in front of her carefully studying him,"well what do we have here? Another hero oh please, why did you come here human? Did you come here in hopes of saving boletaria and become a hero? Or are you just here for Demon's souls? Either way you'll end up like me."

''Hmmmm'' Chuck walked slowly to the woman standing in there ''who are you, and what do you mean by end up like you?'' he was scared, he was ready for anything ''what is this place, and, hero? what do you mean?''

"I am alexis sterling a knight from the royal house of sterling I came to boletaria in hopes of saving it but look at me, I'm dead for all I know my body must be rotting by now, many have come here in boletaria to try and free it or come here for something greater such as the Demon's souls, I've seen many like you come here, saints, sages, knights and rogues and they all died what makes you any different from them?"

''hahahaha... im different because im 17, and i didn't came here on my own, my uncle and my cousing are- What the?!!! where they are?!! they just dissapeared?! oh man... don't tell me im here with a ghost girl.... wait a sec... a ghost.... fog...... alone.....oh man im screwed....... what do you want with me?! y-you wanna fight?!'' a ball of energy was accumulating in his hand ''im ready for anythin''

"ha ha ha ha ha" she laughed in a rather disturbing manner"I'm already dead, swords and spells cant harm me but that doesnt mean I cant harm yo" she started menacing the youth until something was edging closer to them"watch out!" she shouted and then she realized the moving object was the same demon that killed her, the vanguard:

Name: Kale Roseless
Class: Thief
Race: Human

Bio: Kale started out as a street rat. He started out stealing what he needed to survive from shops. When a friend of his got his hand cut off for doing that Kale started picking pockets. A fence, October, got him his first gig at stealing things of greater value. The two have worked together ever since.

After a few gigs Kale and October purchased a business together. An herbalist shop known as Fall's Rose. The shop primarily provides income when he's otherwise between jobs, but he also uses it to obtain otherwise hard to find poisons and anesthetics which he sometimes uses. And it provides a convenient drop/pick up point for October's fencing operation.

Goal: Kale has been hired to retrieve the Soulbrandt a demonic sword forged from you guessed it a demon's soul. The weapon is sealed away in a mausoleum in Boletaria and guarded by a demigod named Dorant and the key is in the hands of a knight called Ostrava of Boletaria. The only information Kale has on Ostrava is that he's supposed to be searching for the king.

Appearance: Kale has long blond hair which has been braided into a ponytail and tied off with a crimson strip of satin. His eyes are an icy blue.
Herbalist Clothes: He often wears his black scarf, a white shirt, brown pants, with several pouches attached to his belt and a pair of work gloves sticking out of a pocket, and a dark brown duster with leaves attached to vines embroidered all over the left side. His shoes are a pair of brown work boots. He also typically carries a leather messenger bag. The bag and pouches are full of various tools and poultices.

Thief Clothes: He generally wears a black scarf, black gloves, black socks and shoes with padded soles but the part directly beneath the balls of his feet are rough for better traction, fitted dark grey pants with several pouches attached to his belt, a cord of rope is wrapped around his waist obscured by the pouches, and he wears a black shirt beneath a dark gray hooded jacket. He keeps his tail tucked under the jacket with the hood up and the scarf covering the bottom half of his face most of the time. The pouches carry various tools, poultices, and often serve to carry his prizes.

"So, what do you think?" "It's a nice figure. I could stand here and admire it all day even. But-" "But what? With that we could retire." October said, dropping a bag of dirt into a pot. "We could retire right now." Suggested Kale as he folded the letter up and slid it back into the envelope. "Well, yeah, but we don't make that much from this herb shop. I mean, we're popular sure but we could live like a king and queen with that." She planted a seed and smiled at him, with that he knew he had already lost this argument. "And I could retire a lot sooner than you if we take this job." He whined, holding the letter out to her. "Well, yes, but that's the same with every job." She pressed the envelope back towards him. "I just have to get a key to a mausoleum from a knight, who all I know about is his name and that he 'might' be looking for his king. And then I have to reach said mausoleum and get past the demigod Dorant to get to the Soulbrandt. Oh yeah, piece of cake. And lest we forget this is in Boletaria, a place where nobody has ever returned from." "Hey, they said it was impossible to steal the key of winters from Merris's manor, but you pulled that one off." "Yes, but that was all just people and locks. This is a demigod." "But the figure, do you remember the figure?" "Ok, ok, I'll do it. But if I die, you better not sell this shop. Or I'm gonna come back and bring you bad luck."

That decision is what went through his mind as Kale ran full speed away from a mob of soulless that were slaying the soldiers he had been traveling with. If he hadn't already packed his things away in his herbalist bag he might not have gotten away. Kale crouched on the ground, pulling his scarf away from his mouth to take in a deeper breath despite the chilling fog. "No amount of money is worth this." He heard a scream, "Break's over." He started running again, pulling his scarf back up.

He sprinted as fast as he could and as the fog cleared he saw two people and a demon. "Oh, you have got to be kidding me. Soulless behind and a demon in front. What did I do to deserve this?" Soulless are pretty slow and easily distracted, by groups of people, a demon...less so. "Oak and ash." Kale dropped his bag and coat, pulling a dagger from one of his pouches. The demon didn't seem to notice him yet, it seemed more focused on the other two people. He slipped back into the fog a short distance, taking the opportunity to apply a potent poison. He didn't know if it would affect the demon the same way it affected people, but he had to try something. There was just too much of a difference in strength between demons and humans. He pulled his scarf up, conviction overcoming his terror. As soon as it was distracted he would make a sprint to try and run up it's back and reach the monster's neck.

''UGH!!, shield!'' as he said this an energy barrier covered him, guarding him from the attack ''well, what the hell is that?, Pile Bunker'' a he said this his pile bunker((weapon app)) appeared in his hand ''take this!! charge!'' energy accumulated in the pile bunker, then he shooted, and the demon falled back ''Corona Fall!!!'' he jumped and shooted the monster, it made a great explotion almost killing the beast ''Damn!! it's a though one, i never thinked that i was going to fight one'' he saidd as he noticed kale then said with low voice to alexis ''there's someone there, if you want to help me go with him and wait until im over with this thing'' Chuck runned to the monster, then put his hand on the monster's chest ''DIE FOR ONCE IN YOUR LIFE'' as he said this the entire demon exploted, leaving a sword in his place ''huh? a sword?'' he grabbed it and put it on his back ''hey alexis im over!!''

Alexis grabbed the sword and snapped it in half as if it were wood "you fool, the weapon is cursed" she replied "dont go picking up treasures or objects dropped by demon's or you'll be sorry, besides its these you want" she held up a ball that looked as if it were made of smoke "these are demon's souls, the energy and power from them would be more than enough to bring an army to it's knees, however..." she crushed the soul and suddenly she felt the power surging through her and smiled, "ah yes that felt good, know since I absorbed a demon's soul I can now be of some assistance I shall guide you, but first I need to slay an old family friend, his name is alfred of boletaria, he was once known as the knight of the tower, but adventurers now call him the tower knight, taller than a giant he was one of the knights who became a demon along with the other's".

alexis stared at the thief and said "ho another graverobber? well I certainly know why your here but the sword you seek is not where it should be, however its twin is found in the location your headed to, me and this young man were headed there anyway, the mausoleum is located in the boletarian palace so I'll take you there with us, but as for this ostrava... I certainly dont know who he is, and as for the ones who contacted your fence, they cant be trusted I dont know who they are but they have members out here trying to take the demon's souls, I know of two who are in this kingdom, mephistopheles and yurt, those two are out to kill those who know of the soul arts, the souls arts is a form of magic that uses demon's souls, and they'll certainly want to kill you simply for being here, but come lets go find this ostrava first before he ends up dead like me".

''Wha? you talking about me? end up death?! hey your certainly an interesting phantom heheh, well, shall we get going?'' he said as he walks to the theft ''hey, i have seen you in the town'' he look at him more closely ''yeah you're the boy who was in the herbalist shop''

"Oak and ash." The words fell from Kale's mouth with long pauses between each. For one, this person seemed to know who he was and why he was there. And for another, and perhaps more important reason, there were people out to kill him and possibly October too. Unfortunately, he had no way of getting word to her, so he needed to focus on what he could do. He wiped the knife clean and slid it back into it's proper pouch before retrieving his other effects. It didn't look like he needed to bother trying to keep up any disguise with this lot, so when next they stopped he'd change into something that allowed for a little better movement.

He approached the other two cautiously. Demon's were easy to approach by comparison, going into a 'meeting' with people who knew all about you and whom you knew nothing about now that's hard. Every sense was warning against it, but he did it anyways. "You seem to have me at disadvantage, Nightshade. For starters, you seem to know everything about me and my reasons for being here. And on top of that, you're dead and you appear to be a knight, yet you're offering to help a man you've called a graverobber. That seems like something that would be doubly offensive to a person like yourself. Just who are you? And it sounds as if you're suggesting my employers have double crossed me. That's a pretty serious accusation, how could you possibly know that and yet supposedly not know who they are?"

"And no, Dandelion, I'm not the boy who was in the herbalist shop. I'm the man who owns the herbalist shop. I suppose introductions are in order. For the sake of the living at least." He made a large flourishing bow with a large smile on his face. "Kale Roseless proprietor of Fall's Rose herbs and flowers. If it grows from the earth, we have it or can get it. How can I be of service to you today my good lord and lady?" The sales pitch over with Kale's expression became bored.

''hahahahahaha!, hey man you're funny, wanna accompany us?, it looks like im fighting with them alone, this ghost girl can't help me for what i can see, well, care to join us?'' he said as he walks to a wall ''this should be good for practice'' he putted his hand back, then pushed his hand to the wall, then the wall falled into the ground ''well, seems like it would work''

An eyebrow raised in annoyance, "Funny? I wasn't joking. I am the proprietor of Fall's Rose and we have had 'most everything come through our shop. So, what's funny?" Kale crossed his arms and began tapping a foot impatiently.

''ha!, and you don't even know, the lord and lady part, that was the funny thing, i have entered to your shop buddy, that's where i buy flowers for my parents''

Bio: An Ambitious noble of the Siegfried Clan seeking fame, money, power and women. Of course honor falls somewhere on his list. Trained from childhood on how to wield his sword by well known sword masters. He has lived a sheltered life behind the castle walls, but now seeks adventure.
Goal: He eyes the crown of Old King Allant.

"Wait, who's there?" Alexis turned around and saw the armor clad knight approaching them, "ho a fellow knight, and I sense you want the crown of old king allant? Well I doubt he'd be willing to give it." but upon thought, pondered on telling her companion's about something,"well since you're all new here to boletaria let me provide some assistance, as a phantom I can provide a special contract with one of you, if you allow me to be your familiar I could teach you about the soul arts and I can be of assistance even in battle, the only problem is that my contract can only be binded to one of you..." .
