But it still beats homework.

It's the end times
and the end rhymes
it's the undead throng
singing their pedantic song

It's that trite shake
that overdone opprobrious break
that plethoric bombastic magnitude
with that vitriolic platitude

I spy nothing exciting
just the compulsory rioting
soporific is this demonstration
of donnybrooks and defenestration

It's the end times
and the end rhymes
with this tedious trend
this mundane telegraphed end

I can't really say it makes that much sense at all. Just seems like you threw in alot of rymeing stuff. Maybe thats just me though.

At first when people didn't get my poetry I felt annoyed, but then I realized that means I'm probably doing it right. :/\

...pataphors, what? I have no idea what you're talking about. >~> <~< >~> <~>
Edit: Well, at least one person got it. But he's roughly as tweaked as me, lol.

Sure it is.

But only to the writer, and people crazy enough to claim understanding of him or her.

There doesn't seem to be any distinct rhythm here, which is an odd thing to see combined with a rhyming scheme.

On that note; Robert Frost was well renowned for f*cking around with the rhythm of his poems, and he's one of the best that there ever has been.

EDIT: Subversed by the fact that he also f*cked around with the rhyme scheme, but still..

So this kid is sitting back watching a riot. I am guessing he considers the rioters to be idiots who do not know what they are rioting about or do not think very deeply. OR perhaps he is a survivor in a zombie apocalypse watching the dead walkin' round XD

That is me not reading too much into it though. You have a marvelous vocabulary my friend. I had to look up many of the words.

Those are both pretty much right. It's the inner thoughts of a know-it-all youth dismayed by the banality and mundaneness of the end of the world(opening irony).

Yeah, it was written in a rush. I forgot to do my English HW(creative writing/art on irony) so I just cooked that up during lunch. I consider it to be a work in progress that I shall not continue(and there's the finishing irony).

Sadly I am no Robert Frost, just a kid who would rather write quick poetry than do homework at home.(extraneous irony times 2)[<---ponder that as you may]

Edit: Oh, right. The structure of the poem itself is a reference to a friend of mine, who I nicknamed 4-san.
