My favorite commercial: "Robin Hood, are you there?"
I want Carey Elwes to jump out and say, "You called?"

Lol, that's exactly what the show is like. What's worse is now they're doing a "recruitment" season. So they're getting younger people that might actually have faith in the series to be on the show (that or they're just actors, it'd make sense), only to be paid to not post online somewhere, "We did a great job on the sound effects today, I almost thought there really was a ghost!"shugo_lover wrote:Like when I was reading the Amittyville horror how the preust pucked and there all like "Omg it was the spirits!"
After reading this I'm pretty sure he at least doesn't know how to use the word.AuraTwilight wrote:Do you have any idea what the hell the word "legit" means?
I don't know what kind of "slang" meaning the word legitimate is supposed to have, but using language sarcastically doesn't qualify as "slang" so I will provide for you the definition of slang as well.Altre wrote:The irony of calling it a legitimate show is it's so obviously not.

You almost got it rite AT. A little too formal for slang talk though. Add in the "n word" (without the r at the end so its not rascist) a bunch of times along with F@#$ and your all set.AuraTwilight wrote:To sum up, you can't call something "legit" if it is not infact "legit." Calling your misuse of a word "slang" does not excuse you, because no one uses slang in that sort of context. When I hear people saying "Yo, that's so legit, man," they always means that whatever they're complimenting is "keeping it real."
By your own admittance, Ghost Hunters is not keeping it real, dawg. So get yo' poser ass the fizzle out of my nizzle and don't forget to be ballin' on the way out, holmes. Peace.

Legitimate
Adjective:
1. Being in compliance with the law; lawful: a legitimate business.
2. Being in accordance with established or accepted patterns and standards: legitimate advertising practices.
3. Based on logical reasoning; reasonable: a legitimate solution to the problem.
4. Authentic; genuine: a legitimate complaint.
5. Born of legally married parents: legitimate issue.
6. Of, relating to, or ruling by hereditary right: a legitimate monarch.
7. Of or relating to drama of high professional quality that excludes burlesque, vaudeville, and some forms of musical comedy: the legitimate theater.

Slang
Noun:
1. Very informal usage in vocabulary and idiom that is characteristically more metaphorical, playful, elliptical, vivid, and ephemeral than ordinary language.
2. Speech and writing characterized by the use of vulgar and socially taboo vocabulary and idiomatic expressions.
3. The jargon of a particular class, profession, etc.
4. The special vocabulary of thieves, vagabonds, etc.; argot.
If you were trying to be sarcastic then let me give you some knowledge: Using words inappropriately doesn't make what you're saying sarcasm and neither is calling it "slang" when people call you out on your terrible choice of words. Also, when you have to explain your own sarcasm, you're doing it wrong.
I loled through all of this. That's the exact same page that I read, Op. So you claim that I frantically rushed for a word to use? Got proof? Wait, can you read my mind!? No. Ha, I guess you can't. I guess you just need to feed your ego. See the bold, underlined text? There's the point. Stop trying to argue against a point that I've made clear with your help.AuraTwilight wrote:To sum up, you can't call something "legit" if it is not infact "legit." I won't. But according to the combined intellects of AT and Op, if it's not perfect, it's intolerable. You almost got it rite AT.

The thing is, your usage of the word "legit" didn't match any of that. U MAD?I loled through all of this. That's the exact same page that I read, Op. ****, I bet your ass has never left your home country. I've literally been all over the world and speak more languages I do, so shut your ass up. You don't have what it takes to be condescending in a legitimate (look, I'm using it properly!!!) context. Also, AT, nothing personal, but you misconstrue that which can't simply be found in a textbook. I've lived in many different places over my years, not once have I ever heard anyone say something in such a manner. If that little bit at the end of your post was meant to be offensive, you failed.
You think there's something "black" about rap slang? Racist.Just to be clear, I'm Caucasian, don't listen to rap, and rarely ever have the joy of performing the idiocy that I see everywhere. People always tell me to "chill", this is an example of what happens when I use "laxed" speech.
What's the "definition" of trolling? We're simply arguing a point. We're not trying to get a hateful emotional response out of you or rile you up. Infact, we wouldn't even be arguing if you didn't respond with butthurt commentary. Trolls are proactive, not reactive.I won't. But according to the combined intellects of AT and Op, if it's not perfect, it's intolerable.
If ya'll push this further, I'll consider it trolling. Neither of you mean for anything positive to come of this, as can usually be expected of AT, so by definition, you're trolling.

1. In fact. What, too riled up to type? Got an excuse for this typo? Shall I scold you for it?Infact, we wouldn't even be arguing if you didn't respond with butthurt commentary.

Also, I'm confused. Wasn't your original post in this topic praising Ghost Hunter? Did you change your mind or did I misunderstand?
